I had maybe 2-3 maps explored on my world, so i saved a creative copy and went looking for ice spikes mesa and monuments. i found atleast 6 monuments a couple small mesa but not one single ice spike, now there are some sections of my world map that are 99% water, with our limited world size 4j should make each map section have maybe 2-3 large biomes or better yet give us unlimited worlds like pc.
Second bug mob spawning is way to slow, my witch farm which used to almost max out the hoppers now spawns 2-3 witches every minute.
I seriously question what exactly takes so long to make these updates when they are released they just need to be refixed over and over again, there are still bugs from 5 updates ago like the water source block bug.
ok yes i agree unlimited is the wrong word to use but i do agree with you why cant we use cloud for things like that. then again people still have sync problems so there goes that idea. hell did they ever fix blaze spwaners?? i just want my witch farm back and enderman farm

I think I found a bug with Witch huts NOT generating in other maps of a world. I have explored about 15 maps of a seed and found NO Witch huts in swamps. Even though there were lots of swamps. I have tested 2 seeds so far and concluded that the Witch hut only spawns on the central map/spawn map. They seem to only spawn in the center map of the world/ spawn map.
The witch hut itself is halfway submerged in water. NOT normal.
Other than the Witch hut. Every other building types seems to spawn normal.

If you explored all of your world, you will not get the new biomes. If you have the bonus chest, you might be able to get the new saplings though. For the Guardian temple, you can create a creative version of your seed and look for an ocean monument. If the temples spawn like the PC version you should be able to locate it on the creative version seed and write down the coordinates. Then on your survival(explored world), you should be able to go to that location and see guardians spawn(if its in water). You will not get sponges. Just the new blocks from killing the Guardians.
So I wanted to confirm with other posts the issue with map walls, myself and 2 friends are also having issues with maps in item frames, here is what is happening. Lets say you create a large map which is 5x5 item frames. You place the center map looks good, you go any new map area to start mapping it. When you place that section of map of the new area in an item frame on your map wall, it changes the center map to the new map you are placing. So now you have 2 of the same maps on your map board instead of 2 maps properly joining. If you do a third area, you'll then have three maps on the map board that are identical from the last map you placed and so on. As of right now we are using one large chest to properly place maps in the correct places and have to pull each map out as we need. Not the best solution but until this is fixed this is what we are doing. This is affecting both creative and survival modes on Xbox One.
My world is crashing. Was able to use it while Live was down. Now it syncs and then completely crashes out. Good decision on making worlds unable to be backed up on usb or anything. I would put it in the bug tracker but I only have my phone right now and wont be in the office till monday. Better get the team working overtime this weekend steve.

When I was playing offline, while Xbox Live was down, I ad no problems. When Xbox Live was up, it was not working as intended. It was starting an online game and crashing out loading the map... any map. If you switch to offline it works. This is not a good situation. If it can not create the game online in an online game, it should switch to offline, not completely lock up and crash the program.
Also, since adding redstone to item frames, when more than one map is placed, they glitch out horribly, as mentioned before. Not game breaking, just disappointing.
Has anyone had any luck finding the "extreme hills+" biomes? I can't find anything that even remotely resembles the old extreme hills... No cliffs overhangs or weird formations. Just shorter smaller hills and plateaus.
Is anyone else here disappointed in the way the biomes generate? They are too small and close together. I can understand why this would be the case for the 360 version, but not for the Xbox One version. They need to be more spread out.
I think a slider, like the one for world size, should be added, but for biome sizes instead.

Yeah I'm disappointed too. For some reason 4j wants to keep it like the 360 version. They need to expand the nether and the end for next gen consoles.
And the mob cap is the same as the 360. The Xbox one can clearly handle more than they are doing.
If Mojang made the console edition of Minecraft, it would be way better and less buggy.
Still happy with the update. Good job. Hopefully some of these bugs can be fixed quickly and then maybe tackle some of the unique issues with the console versions and find solutions.
Like others mentioned, farmers just stand around and don't harvest crops.
Also, previously, you could make a pit and put signs at the top and nd cover with carpet. The mobs would not cross because they think it is and nd hole, but we could walk across. This is no longer consistent. My horse won't cross and sometimes hostile mobs don't cross, but often now the mobs seem to be glitch ing when they approach the pit and then they find themselves on the carpet and continue across.
The largest painting sizes don't generate if on a wall the same dimension as the painting. Also, these large paintings will disappear if you reduce the underlying wall size to match the painting. I recorded this bug in my capture feed.
Multiplayer constantly lags out now. It's unplayable.
How so when Mojang don't make console games ? That's like saying naughty dog would make a good PC game.Everybody seems to forget that Mojang started out as an indie dev. and despite the fact they are now owned by MS console version came out way after PC version plus it's all free content.

2. I don't have a chat pad nor did I ever have one on the 360 and the Xbox one. People including myself are capable of typing through text pop up by selecting one letter at a time. It's dumb for them to say that's the only reason why they didn't add the Book and quill at that time. You don't have to use the Book and quill, its an option to use it.

I know that 4j was asked by Mojang years after the release on Minecraft on PC. 4jstudios does not own the name brand Minecraft. Therefore they cannot make big changes to the game.Minecraft is probably the only thing keeping their company busy and thriving. Without Minecraft their company would be long gone. Didn't Mojang want all Minecraft platforms to be equal in updates but with slight variations to them?

Ever since the new xbox one update im having problems.
I had a beautifull 5x5 map in my survival world but now its glitchy and its also moving the maps and twising them.
plz fix this!
also, is there a way i can get the biomes and new blocks without starting a new world?? i have spent a huge amount of time this server.

Have three ocean monuments and not a single one has a small guardian, two have the elder guardian but none have the smaller guardians.

If you place maps in items frames when:
-the item frames are facing the same direction
-the item frames are placed on the same block
The maps will glitch and only show one of the placed maps, even if different maps are placed
