If Ballmer, Whitten and Mattrick were still running things, I would say the Playstation version would be dead in the water after the acquisition. The fact that Notch didn't approach Microsoft until after Nadella and Spencer were in their respective divisions is somewhat telling. Notch went from proclaiming that MS was trying to destroy the PC with Windows 8 to approaching them looking to sell in two years. I would have hesitant optimism, especially since it seems they are trying to realign to a more gamercentric course with Xbox. I think Mojang is going to be an independently operated subsidiary after purchase for the time being. If the stooges were in charge, they'd gut it for everything of value, leaving a withered husk behind.
