The number of people in Exodaas continued to grow. The Goddess Fortuna blessed many of them with good enchantments and good luck. One such blessing was cast down upon the leader of the Great Ocean expedition. She had blessed him and his pickax with silk touch so that he may obtain grass to grow on his island of dirt that he raised out of thin air as well as allow him to easily obtain stone to construct his castle on the island. With Fortuna on his side he was soon to become King of the Ocean.
A community building for brewing was also created next to Fortuna's shrine to celebrate the blessings that Fortuna gave the people of the land...
The number of deaths in the land had sky-rocketed, though. People drown, burned to death, suffocated in walls. And the first murder of the land was committed awakening the God of the Nether, Pokol. Although, the people of Exodaas had not yet realize, the God Pokol had began to spread a plague of death across the land after the first murder.
The man that had committed the first murder had also opened the first shop in the land, near the center. In fact, the murder was committed because of a misunderstanding of the rightful possession of items between the shop owner and his neighbor. The shop owner murdered his neighbor in cold blood. The shop owner was a swindling man with outrageous prices, people of the land even said he was worse than a testificate when it came to prices.
The plan to revive the testificates was going fantastic by the way. The leader of the ocean expedition had crafted two golden apples within his spare time, but by the time he started building his castle he had a visit from the shop owner who stole the apples from right under his nose. The shop owner later sold one of the apples to a local traveler. The leader of the ocean expedition vowed that he would get those apples back one day with the help of some of the mountain men and Fortuna.
The mountain men mostly kept to themselves in their homes, making their living quarters better and more satisfactory. Some of them did venture out occasionally, though, to see the changes in the land and make sure everything was in order, or to see the progress of the magic that was the island that appeared in the middle of the ocean.
Now with Pokol's powers secretly stretching across the land, changes will surely come. Quick decisions will have to be made and sides will have to be chosen. Yet, everything will be left up to the adventures of Exodaas.
My apologies for not posting the 4th entry, yet, for those who wanted to see it. I have actually been distracted by trying to improve the server and add possible improvements that would enhance the lore, factions, and story of the server. As well as help stop unwanted griefers and annoying people in a timely fashion and possibly give them what they deserve.lol.
I should be starting up the server for today as soon as I have figured out how to actually implement these improvements as well as posting the 4th entry here on the thread.
I might not be on long today because I'm going out tonight, though, but I will start the server up again sometime late tonight, maybe around 10pm (central time zone, usa) or a little later.
I apologize again if you really wanted to join the server today and this is an inconvenience for you.
I came from a far place to a land of diversity to seek a place to stay for a while before I must up and leave once more, leaving our legacy and some of our history behind. With my wings (and everyone's dirt!) I single-wingedly raised an island from the sea. It started out as naught but a dry slab of dirt, but with the goddess's blessing, it has become a vibrant land of growth. Soon shall my home stall tall and proud and soon shall my land teem with life! My efforts have bestowed me the title of King of the Sea along with the ability to endure the waters' depths far longer than a normal creature's lungs could take and the power of...the Thu'um...I think? I don't entirely know, but I can yell and send things flying away...and on fire, keh.
The inhabitants here are...interesting. Some whom I met are machines, some creatures--one was even a tiny dragon!--, some human; some talk funny, actually most of them do, but we still understand one another. Some are rather bothersome and deserve a wing to the face while others are jolly fun to have around...or under me as it were with one. These inhabitants seem to enjoy my island, though I am unsure why. I'm pretty sure that my dwelling is simply a small island whereas theirs is a large one. I thought bigger was better or something of that nature.
Though we share the same land bounded by ever-spanning waters, some do not agree with others and conflict arises. Thefts occur, livestock are killed, and ever some have been slain, but for what cause? These creatures have strange and conflicting ideals. I'll just keep to myself as long as they stay on their island--simple enough.
I know not what the future holds, but a wind of uncertainty and unease has been blowing. I sense something...far away, yet very close by coming fast. Strange things have been happening, and things have been changing in ways that I doubt that any of them can achieve. What is it? Where is it? Hmm, maybe I oughtn't worry myself too much...though even immortality can go only so far. Only time will tell...heh, at least until I master chronomancy.

Pokol's energy continued to spread across the land and He was beginning to prepare to face the people of Exodaas for the first time..........
One adventurer of the land that lived in the Central Plains of Exodaas had made a name for himself, being the first in the plains to find diamonds, and own diamond armor. He also became the first in the entire land to collect not one but three skulls of Wither Skeletons, a rare commodity around the whole planet. Yet, the adventurer was Arrogant and full of himself, causing Fortuna to cast bad luck upon him, often leading him to several downfalls along his path. The greatest downfall being him losing one of his Wither Skulls and having a bounty placed on him by certain mountain men. The bounty was claimed but his capture allowed him to once again return to the land with his things.
Upon returning the adventurer tried to build up a faction of his own even offering to buy people's trust and even buy over the Farmer of the land that supplied the people with food regularly.
The Farmer wished to remain neutral and only be a man of service to those that needed it, he even often gave away large sums of food for free.
An adventurer from the coast had his fort griefed and therefore moved from his fort to a nice base that he made deep under the sea near the King of the Ocean, with them being good allies the King of the Ocean allowed it. That adventurer later went on an adventure into the Nether to find rare supplies and material, but he became trapped by mobs and lava on all sides. He fought through waves of mobs (that were secretly sent by Pokol) in order to retrieve items that he had left behind, with no escape he was saved by the same adventurer that had obtained the Wither Skulls.
Meanwhile the up and coming King of the Ocean started the construction of his castle. For the deeds he had done throughout the land he was rewarded by a god that he had not yet met, Apontilus, the god of the sun and sea. Apontilus gave the King to be a magical set of armor and a magical clock.
Out in the Great Ocean an adventurous and crafty Viking arrived from the west and crashed his ship that he named The King Olaf, after going ashore to find supplies to fix the ship he decided that he will anchor and live in the land for quite a while. He tried to rally the people of the ocean to start a faction and pillage the people of the land, but the up and coming King of the Ocean wished to remain neutral for as long as possible. Therefore, the Viking started to make a plan to try to form a faction with newcomers in the future.
Many of the people in the land including the King of the Ocean, the adventurer with Wither Skulls, The adventurer living under the ocean, and one of the mountain men had all worked together to bring back the testificates. The King to be and the one adventurer living under the ocean had found zombie testificates inhabiting an underground corridor. After telling everyone they led the zombies into a trap to hold them so that the mountain man could cure them. After being cured the mountain man and the other two adventurers built an underground railcart track to bring the testificates to the surface, while the Ocean King planned out how to make an iron farm with the testificates. After bringing them to the surface the testificates were placed in a storage bunker to keep them safe until further notice.
Days later one man from the Norther Coast was possessed by the power of Pokol and had murdered another person and attempted to burn down several structures. The man was soon apprehended by several others and Pokol's energy dispersed from his body.
Pokol was coming closer and closer and would soon approach someone in particular to become his champion, his main general and power in Exodaas ..........
I'll try to go through and add everyone that I forgot to add when I start up later
Very little has happened since the last entry, yet very much has happened....
The very first creature to inhabit the mountains and even to arrive on and roam the land of Exodaas... (other than the mobs), has tapped into a great and nearly infinite power. He has reached power that matches that of demi-gods while still remaining as mortal as any other creature in the land. He has become an Alchemist of sorts, taking one item and turning it into another within an instant... while his skills are amazing and outmatched, they are flawed and he does not yet know how to control them perfectly. Apontilus fears what may happen with the powers gained by this mere mortal. (If he is a mere mortal.)
In his first attempt to use his powers the Alchemist formed unstoppable diamond armor and a weird but powerful weapon from stone that he vowed to use only in dire situations and an amazing pick axe that he also vowed to only use to strengthen the land.
Progress has slowed down for most people, mainly because Pokol's overwhelming power was starting to effect people in multiple ways. Trips to the Nether led to more deaths than usual. And people slowly started to work together less. To combat this problem the Bragging Warrior (the adventure with Wither Skulls that was mentioned before) also known as Macho, began a faction, the first faction in all of Exodaas . He called it The Fetus Army, and it quickly grew to consist of most of the adventurers that settled in the Central Plains as well as one nomadic adventurer. The Viking that resided in the Great Ocean also started his own faction known as the Northern Ocean Federation (NOF) which started as half of the size of Macho's faction.
Macho claimed that his faction was for the good of Exodaas claiming that they would remain neutral until forced to act otherwise. The faction even paid off the bounty put on one of it's members to ensure neutral ground with the men that lived in the mountains. Meanwhile, one member of NOF worked on redstone contraptions while the Viking spent most of his days in an underground cavern that he constructed. Many believe he was using skills that he learned from another land to rise and become an unstoppable force that would be unmatched by any throughout the land.
The Goddess of War, Menirah saw this and quickly took a liking to the Viking warrior. She sought out to face him and ask him personally to be her champion, her ... "General". She hopes he will accept her when she asks.
Pokol was also preparing to pick a champion if any adventurer would accept him when he finally made himself known, he had his eye on one adventurer in particular.... He will soon test some adventurers to see if they are up to the task, and he will then decide...
Pokol's energy radiated from the portals that led to his realm throughout the land of Exodaas. Using what forces he could he ripped a hole into the land near Fortuna's Shrine and opened a portal of his on in the bottom of the hole that lead into a small and peculiar cave in the Nether. The hole soon started to crust over with netherack like a scab on an open wound.
One adventurer, Shadow, the one that lived under the ocean quickly found the hole while exploring. The netherack crust started to burn slowly over time and a message appeared, the words "Pokol the God of Death and Destruction Calls For a Champion" was carved into the crust. Shadow along with several other adventurers, not fully knowing what the phrase meant, climbed down the hole and entered the portal.
Once inside they were attacked from all sides by weak, yet well-armed minions of Pokol. Most of the adventurers fought the minions off and Shadow even managed to kill one, yet Macho, the Bragging Warrior, ran from the battle (as frightened as a little girl in a thunder storm). The adventurers then took the loot left behind by the attackers and returned to the overworld with many questions still unanswered. Little did they know that this was Pokol's first trial in testing the adventurers to find one to be his champion.
Days later Macho confronted the Viking in hopes of making a truce between their two factions. Despite having a smaller faction the Viking threatened Macho telling him to keep his faction members in check before they're banished from the land, and the Viking declined the truce.
In the following days the other adventurers in the land realized that the Viking had quite the obsession with gold. The Viking would take every chance he could get to barter for gold. He stored it all somewhere deep underground, and the people of the land began to question what he could be wanting to do with so much gold.
Meanwhile, the Nether continued to become more hostile despite the fact that Pokol had used so much energy to open his own portal in Exodaas. Many people that ventured off into Pokol's realm never returned. Ghasts blew up portals and lava seas devoured people whole, no-one that entered was ever guaranteed to leave.
But soon Apontilus will call upon his brother to help the people of Exodaas.......
