Things were looking extremely bad in the land of Exodaas. Pokol's corruption had finally slowed down as he focused so much of his powerful energy on creating his dragon and absorbing the Goddess Fortuna by sapping the energy and life-force that forever circulated between the goddess herself and her shrine. Just as things started to look evermore hopeless for the goddess, suddenly the Bragging Warrior, Macho, made his decision. He wished to follow the young goddess. He therefore went out and "wrecked" the dragon's face and flooded the hill where the shrine sat so that he could wash away the fires and corruption. With incredible rage, Pokol restored the face of the dragon, focusing all of his efforts on that.
The next day Shadow waited at the dragon to face off with Macho. Macho, extremely geared up to fight, tried to explain to Shadow how he couldn't let Fortuna die off and that he has decided to follow Fortuna. Shadow was surprised as he was unaware that Pokol was absorbing Fortuna and unexpectedly and without question Shadow quickly turned around and shot the glass star above the dragon's head. The glass star was placed above the dragon by Apontilus as soon as he found out about the dragon. Apontilus was powerless to stop the dragon himself because Pokol was constantly pouring energy resources into it, and would surely react with war against Apontilus if he was to interfere directly, so the star was placed and filled with water in hopes that some adventurer would crack the star ope, drown the dragon, and disrupt Pokol's transfer of energy so much that he couldn't restore the dragon. The magical water from the star fell quickly and killed the dragon as well as softened the corruption caused by Pokol.
Afterwards, Macho was overjoyed and pleased that Shadow decided to side with him and Fortuna who was now saved but extremely weak from the lack of energy. Macho, the Ocean King, and the Alchemist started to clean the infected area of the land of all the corruption. Pokol sat at his otherworldly thrown massively outraged. And Shadow went home as if he thought that would protect him from Pokol's wrath.
Pokol was somewhat weakened and his grasp over the overworld was little to nothing now but he was still very dangerous to the adventurers that opposed him.
Meanwhile, the Farmer went on talking about the Abyssal God, preaching his words to the not so eager ears of the adventurers. The Farmer started to claimed that Zaerus has named him as the High Priest of the Abyss, and stated that Zaerus would bless them all and give them a place to rest in the Abyss (safe from the wrath of Pokol). No one listened to the Farmer's supposed wise words.
The saddest news as of late is that the Viking had to go off back on an adventure to his homeland for a while as his people needed him, so the Viking sailed off and said that he will return in time. Minerah decided to watch over him for the battle to come back in his homeland, hoping to claim him as her champion before he returned to Exodaas...
Happy Independence Day to any and everyone who celebrates it. I might not be on later, depending on what my plans turn out to be tonight. And just in case I forget to add anyone again just shoot me a friend request instead, if I see you're from the thread here I'll accept.
Just updated the thread with a list of the Gods created so far (with exception of one and some I haven't introduced to the lore yet), as well as a little backstory for each one. Check it out if you're interested. And I have to give credit to DwarvinOrcKing for coming up with the Abyssal God, Zaerus. Although, it was I who wrote the backstory for him (I hope that's ok). Also, I'll be happy to know what you all think of it.
The adventurers celebrated the extraction of Pokol's corruption on the land as if it was a liberation in Exodaas. They spent an entire night setting off fireworks in celebration. The Bragging Warrior was to thank for taking initiative to save Fortuna. He and Shadow waited in anticipation for Pokol to exact revenge, though. It was sure that Pokol's power was still building up as he sat in the Nether.
The Bragging warrior went to the North to build a proper temple for the goddess he now follows, while some of the other adventurers restored Fortuna's original shrine and the land around it. The Farmer made a bar in the town and hired a local iron golem to work in it. The Farmer protected the workers at the bar greatly as they were also children of Zaerus. The Goddess Minerah gave the mountain men materials to build an arena in her honor as a way to repay the land for her absence as she followed the Viking. The Arena was constructed and the mountain men even went about wiring up redstone to improve Minerah's original blueprint.
Meanwhile, the Alchemist was becoming very close to opening the portal to the End. All he had to do was get a team together to enter Pokol's realm once again to obtain blaze powder. Yet, he was hesitant since he and another adventurer were the ones to open the portal to the Nether and wake Pokol. The Alchemist knew little about Levahn and Zaerus, and had no idea what other Gods might have been resting in the End throughout the millennia. He did not want to be the blame for waking another god of an evil nature.
As of late many new adventurers have flocked to Exodaas. And many of them are proving to be rather interesting. One was even inspired by the Ocean King to make an island of his own. Only his island would reside high in the sky rather than in the Great Ocean. Another adventurer claimed a very large section of Exodaas as his own and has started to construct a wall around the land, which he planned on turning into a city.
The Alchemist had finally gathered the last of the materials he needed to open the End portal in the meanwhile. Him and his party consisting of Shadow, the Ocean King, a fellow mountain man, and the adventurer that claimed the large amount of land, Azure, entered the portal. They were instantly teleported to the End and were confronted by a gigantic, huge, and terrifying black and purple dragon named Helen. She immediately attacked them. They reacted rather quickly but every time they landed a shot Helen was healed by her crystals which were heavily protected and encased in bedrock and obsidian. The unprepared mountain man died quickly while him and Azure tried hard to take out the crystal. Shadow and the Alchemist distracted Helen while they did so and the Ocean King scoped out the area looking for an opening. Shadow was struck down and injured by Helen and the Ocean King tended to the injuries. The Alchemist kept Helen distracted while Azure took out the last of the crystals. The Alchemist took minor injuries from an attack that he tended to himself and then went to help Shadow as Azure severely damaged Helen. The four then regrouped before finally launching out to finally defeat Helen using swords and bows (the Ocean King even used a sack of his that he had on his person to attack the dragon). With one final slash from everyone, HELEN EXPLODED!!!! Opening a portal for the adventurers to return....
Before leaving, the Alchemist heard a voice in the distant. The God of Life (and Respawning), Levahn, had tapped into the Alchemist's conscious, and congratulated the Alchemist for defeating Helen, who was Levahn's pet/welcome present. Lavahn laughed at the fact that they defeated his pet, but then stated that he hoped that this was the beginning to a long friendship between him and Exodaas. After talking to Levahn, the Alchemist could not get a read on rather he was of good or evil nature. Consequently, he had even less of an understanding of Zaerus's nature because Levahn sprouted from Zaerus, if Zaerus is evil, Levahn would be clearly evil, but the darkness that stirred and lingered whenever Zaerus was spoken of didn't really spell out good. As the adventurers went back home the influence of Levahn followed and the powerful Levahn would surely follow himself causing who-knows-what changes throughout the land.
Afterwards, to celebrate the opening of the portal to the deminision that Zaerus called his first home, the Farmer constructed a tower that almost reached the clouds, along with a beautiful courtyard that was built of blocks that many believed Zaerus had given the Farmer through a blessing. Simutaneously, the building was built to rival Fortuna's church in the north.
Fortuna became even more powerful as secret admirers started to worship her and pray to her at the church. Although, no one had seen the admirers, their prayers made Fortuna stronger.
Days after the party's return, the Alchemist visited each member that helped bring down Helen individually to give them a well deserved prize. The prize was the dragon egg that Helen left behind. The Alchemist used his powers to make duplicates of the egg so that each adventurer that fought Helen could have one. The alchemy was difficult though and had drained a lot more power than the Alchemist realized. Luckily the eggs were harmless since they could only hatch when imbued with blessing from Levahn... but with Levahn now loose in Exodaas no one had a clue as to what would happen. Could Levahn lead to worse tiding that when Pokol infected the land? Would the God of Life bless the land with everlasting life? Will Levahn be good or evil?
I'm sorry to say that I had someone in my family pass today. That is why I haven't started up the server today and why I am so late at uploading the 12th entry, but I will try to be on later tonight in hopes that playing minecraft makes me feel better.
