Have you finished any new maps, i would like to run through some later or in a couple of days
The first two main maps and three mini maps are done.
The Jewel Road for the first two main and mini maps are also done.
The Jewel Road for TMLB #3 is on pause as I'd like to start tackling TBL #3 first. If nothing else, I'm gonna force myself to start churning out all the dialogue I have in my mind, even if there's nothing being built.
Small update: Most mobs in TBL #2 and THL #2 now have coloured names. Nothing like being attacked by Bloodweavers with red nameplates!
In addition, I finally got a new player! He's one of those people who go halfway through an area and then winds up going somewhere else. He also tends to rush into things, which have had their consequences. But still, he also got the Topaz and completed TBL #1's Jewel Road! He needs just a bit of work and he'll be a fine addition~
Okay, this is becoming a problem and is starting to bug me. Twice this week so far and like, the fourth or fifth time in total, I've had people asking to join my server. Is this the topic that they keep thinking is the server?? Can they not read that it says, "series," and not "server," or do they see that it's a topic with eleven pages and just immediately throw a friend request my way without reading a dang thing here?
And they always give either stupidly vague answers like "the forum" or stop responding when I ask where specifically for the second or third time.
4J and Microsoft sure didn't make it easy, but I finally figured out how to make coloured signs. You need to put your console in German, plug in a keyboard, and use Shift+3 to get the symbol to come up.
All champions now have their name in blue (since gold was too difficult to read), beta testers in green, and Red Reddington in red in the Halls of Jewels.
Since a couple updates ago completely broken one of my core maps altogether and since this community is so dead compared to three years ago, I'm finally closing The Burnt Lands on the 360. However, I have plans on porting all six maps over to the PC and giving them an overhaul while staying true to how they were.
Planned changes:
-Little to no freaking lag because PC master race.
-Actually being able to use Command Blocks to make things much smoother (such as setting player spawns, changing game rules in certain areas, and so on).
-Giving items and weapons special traits. Some armours may increase player health, but will slow them down; some weapons could be monsterously powerful, but also drain hunger, etc.
-Giving items lore through flavour text. Why is it the Spiderblood Blade? What is the Serbar? Why is the Princess Dress in a hole in a mountain? So on and so on. This would reward players for exploration not only with items, but also with a deeper understanding and immersion in the world around them.
-Though doubtful, I may wind up making a texture pack for a map or two. I do have some experience with making small graphics, so it may be a fun challenge. As of now, only TBL #1 and TBLM #3 use texture packs, and TBLM #3 could get away with default just fine.
And now I have a really long topic title. Hopefully that'll make it seem like this isn't just another old topic that people uselessly bump.
Stay fluffy~

The Burnt Lands isn't dead, just...lost.
Hmm, and this is my 5,555th post. How fitting.

And the maps series will continue on the PC for sure! TBL #1 is completely done, Jewel Road and all! The rest of the maps are in progress.

Nobody plays on the 360 enough for me to care anymore. The maps are now on Java.
