Is anyone experiencing their tamed wolves despawning and then re-spawning where you are at, while they are still sitting? It has freaked me out the past four or five times its happened.. I considered it a bug issue and reported it but they are still doing it..
Not all the time but say I'm in a cave, mining and have been their for a few Minecraft days and nights, I'll turn around and all of a sudden one of my tamed wolves will be sitting there, staring at me.. I'll stare at them for a minute.. Regain my composure then take them back to the base.. It is literally creepy.. Not to mention, my cats have done this also..

Are you encountering hostile mobs underground? If you are in range of the pet and are attacked by a hostile mob they can teleport to your location to help. I have to idea what the range is on their ability to detect the player and teleport, but I have noticed this in the past. That is also the only circumstance when pets can stand up on their own after the player has sat them down, that I know of.
Well, I am always on survival hard difficulty and I'll switch over to peaceful every now and again so my children can get to my base safely but it's just weird because.. My wolves will still be sitting down.. I've even had a wolf puppy die by falling down my ladder cave stairwell then. . Just say an hour into game play he popped up behind me, fully grown.. My son who is 8 years old started hollering and freaking out but I convinced him it was a glitch.
I've reported it. Haven't gotten a response though and no one else is having the problem either.. It's been a couple days without this happening but.. Like I said before, it can happen today or a week from now. It's just random times. It jump scares me to no end.

Yah, that doesn't sound like anything I've experienced before. But I haven't played in a couple weeks, and haven't downloaded the latest title update.
You said you reported the issue, has it been resolved? Has anyone else commented that they've seen the same behavior?
