Hey guys! As you may may not know, if you manage to go to the nether roof, you cant move(unless using enderpearls) and you Also can't break any blocks. This makes nether farms almost impossible(unless mining a 128*128 area from bedrock to bedrock, or halfslabing half a nether). I have searched and apparently It's an intentional change to "save" memory in your hardrive.
My question is the following: Is this "Cage" type thing going to be removed?, Also, When?.
Another thing i want to add Is about the "merge" that 4j studios wants to make with the Java Edition. If they want to look foward for that, they should start getting Closer to the merge than further like they are doing now making things like the TU 60 Wither Boss, that has nothing to do with the Java Edition.
Thanks for reading and sorry for possible spelling mistakes, i'm from a spanish speaking country
Hey you, yes the One Who is finishing reading this and thinking you are not going to reply, even if you dont know about the topic or have nothing to say, you can always write your opinion! Thanks reader ;D
The nerf above the nether roof will never be changed back. They needed to make it that way in order to be able to free up resources to support new features. If you want fast nether farms a perimeter is your only choice. Tnt duping works exactly the way it does on java (at the moment anyway) though, so tnt quarrys are an option. Thats what I did to finish my perimeter. I spent several months mining by hand and got to the top of the nether fortress. When we got the update that introduced tnt duping I made a quarry. It goes slower on console because the maximum number of lit tnt entities is 20, meaning you can only run two dupers at a time, but it still goes incredibly fast in netherrack (relatively speaking, your talking about 3 million blocks for an average perimeter).
As far as a 'merge' goes, Mojang is updating new gen consoles to Bedrock version, old gen like our 360's will never get this version. 4J appears to be moving more twoard making the game similar to bedrock, not java. The game is actually roughly equivalent to java 1.12.2 (stupid wither boss change not withstanding).
