Recently, my kid and I loaded up a new very vanilla MCX360 survival world (and I'm realizing now I don't have the seed - sorry about that, I will get it for anyone who is interested - I'm not near the XBox at the moment), and were thrilled to discover it has THREE Woodland mansions. Two are super close together at the top of the map, and the third is at the extreme bottom of the map.
This world also doesn't seem to have ANY roaming hostile mobs. We've played for about four hours now, and have yet to see a zombie, spider, skelly, or creeper. Passive mobs spawn fine (we're farming, breeding chickens, cows, and sheep). We also don't have any villages at all - just the three mansions, a huge ice plains, some extreme hills, a sunflower plain (where we are living), two tiny jungles, and endless roofed forests. My working theory is that the hostile mobs inside the mansions have taken up all the hostile mob slots, and so no more can spawn until we deal with the things inside the houses. (Which we're not ready to do yet, but my kid is Oh So Ready to get his battle on as soon as we get geared up.)
We have verified that there ARE hostile mobs inside the mansions. I was killed by a vindicator last night, so we're definitely in survival. But the lack of hostile mobs is presenting certain problems - notably the lack of string to make bows.
We're currently tunneling around underground trying to find somewhere with spider webs.
Is the no mobs problem a known thing on multiple-mansion seeds? Also, suggestions for working around the very vexing (sorry) lack of string? Do I just have to hope we stumble on to spider webs eventually? I'd really like a bow (or two) before we tackle the first mansion....
Yeah, no, not in peaceful. As I said above we are definately in survival on normal difficulty. (I may be a mom but I'm not stupid.)
PvP works fine, I have now seen two skeletons and a spider in caves, and the illager mobs give and take damage just as they are supposed to. However, I still have not seen a single non illager hostile mob in the overworld, despite wandering around many nights in a row.
Its the weirdest thing I've ever seen on 360. In some ways makes defeating the mansion more challenging.
Hostile mob cap is 75, so if you are close to the double mansion then the majority of the cap is taken up by the illagers. Also once loaded a chunk stays entity provessing, so moving away from the mansions will not unload them. You have to move out of render distance and re-log. This will unload the mansions completely and open up room in the cap for other hostile mobs to spawn.

I got four mansions in one map but I haven't even encountered any illagers in any of them yet though Though I'm using one of them as a shelter have every room lit up in the one but leaving the other 3 mansions dark so they can have a chance to spawn
Make a backup of your world first then try moving to the furthest corner of the world away from the mansion, log out of the game, change the mode to peaceful and log back in. This should clear out all of the hostile mobs from the world. Log out again and put the mode back into normal and log in again.

Increase the difficulty from peaceful to some other value.

I would like the seed if you don’t mind
