On pc, you can hold and use pick block on any block with nbt data. On console, this is not the case. There are 2 ways i can see this working on console:
1. When you press start, or whatever button brings up the menu on other consoles, you can press some button(user deifned), to turn on "NBT mode". Then, once that is on, if you pic block a sign, for example, that has text, it will give you the sign with text, and then automatically turn off nbt pickblocking.that way, you can do one NBT block at a time, so if after you have your sign with NBT, and you need a regular sign, you c\just pick block the sign. 2. An option, in options, that as long as it is on, You will NBT pick block. BOth of these would work, and maybe we coud have both of them
Now, onto the second part of the title. Pickblock in inventory. Most peopl probably put pick block on the d-pad, and a lot of peopl like to use the d-pad to get around in the inventory. Simple solution: an new option for having pick block, whatever you set it to, work in the inventory. that way, peopl who want pick block in the inventory get their way, and the peopl who want d-pad in the inventory get their way. And if the d-pad inventory peopl want pick block in the inventory, they can learn to use the thumbsticks i suppose.
