first I hope I'm placing this question in the right place.
So so my question basically revolves around using a pick with fortune 3 on diamond blocks and saving and reloading until you get 3-4 diamonds from each block. Basically I find some diamonds then save and break. If I don't get 3-4 I reload and try again. I use to be able to do this pretty easily, but then I started to need to break other blocks after reloading and then hitting the diamonds. Now however I'm stuck with just getting 1-2. Strange part is that's it's mostly 1-2 with 3 or higher coming from the first attempt or the next one or two attempts, meaning there is some kind of randomness but not in my favor. Just wondering if anyone who knows the ins and out of Minecraft more then me could shed some light on the matter. Wether they fixed this and their (mojang) thoughts on the matter. Much thanks!
Its always been a random chance when you break the block what you get out of it. I just played around in a test world and out of 24 diamond ores I got an almost equal amount of 2's and 3's and an almost equal amount of 1's and 4's. With 2 and 3 being the most common drops. Its possible that your just getting very unlucky. It doesn't seem like anything has changed to me.
