so just recently i downloaded an update for minecraft any idea what it does? combat update plz?

I saw that come through as well, but no idea what it was. According to the wiki, we got TU48 on 31-Jan-17, but my Xbox shows the latest update was downloaded on 28-Feb-17, probably around the time that you noticed the update, Jordan. However, there doesn't appear to be anything different on my end, and the "What's New" in-game help screen still shows the TU48 updates, such as Chorus Flowers and Elytra. Nothing about what we got recently. A silent update/bugfix maybe? There isn't anything on the wiki about it.

Mind you, I don't play the online multiplayer combat minigames at all, so I wouldn't notice any changes to those, if there were any.

Seems to me that it was one of the patches they were working on to fix bugs and lag.

First thing my friend noticed was that in Creative Mode, (and in survival just looking at your inventory) the HUD is much less detailed than it used to be. The items all look pixelated and have a low level of detail. This would fix a lot of lag because the overlay HUD takes up more processing than you think. The glass panes icon were also changed, and the dragon head can now sit in an item frame without looking miniature and offset.

Overall this update has improved my lag A LOT. When the end update came in, we had turn off the weather cycle because we could hardly move when it started raining. Now we can use rain again without a problem.

Just a bunch of crappy bug fixes. Honestly, its getting annoying to have to redownload 1.whatever gigs for a fix or 2, especially when virtually none apply to me.

Then I see they took out the 2nd bonus chest in the center of the world. Way to go

I see the wiki is now calling that one TU49, dated 28-Feb-17. I received another update today, 14-Mar-17, but still nothing in the "What's New" section. Must be just more bugfixes, and I assume that one will be TU50 for the Xbox 360.
