This morning after the update was released, the achievements showed as available. Once I unlocked them all it was brought to my attention from a friend they never really unlock (from the compare Game option in the Xbox) even though in unlocked in Game. I recovered my tag on Xbox and now those achievements are locked again and when I tried to unlock them in Game again they will not unlock and nothing happenes.
This is happening to lot of people that i have seen on other sites.
Same here. New Achievements locked again on Xbox360 right after I got put fully explored map in item frame, all new ones I got before it locked again. All ones I got after it stayed. And they were on my gamercard 100% before I got that map one.

This is exactly what I did:
1. Start up the Xbox (it auto signed in for me)
2. Manually sign out of your profile.
3. Launch Minecraft.
4. Press Play Game
5. A popup appears and asks you to sign in. Press Yes [I want to sign in].
6. The achievements popped right away on the world selection screen.
If this did not work for you, try deleting and downloading your
profile again (if you haven't done so already). I also did not have to
delete the title update."

Same happened to me. Of all 18 new achievements I already unlocked 9 and none of them appear on the activity feed on in the unlocked list
