So recently i was updating my xbox 360( I have disc version), when it was done updating, the screen turned back to the original version of minecraft xbox 360 I think and when I entered a world I couldn't move around. I searched up the bug and fixed it in the settings. Then I updated the game again to the new version/updated version and fixed it, but when I went into one of my worlds, it was replaced with a world I didn't know or created. I also went into my other worlds and the same thing happened. I think the worlds are corrupted and was caused by the update or a bug. Please help and thanks.
I have the same issue in that when we downloaded the latest update TU47, we tried loading our heavily invested world and the screen just freezes before even showing the loading bar. The xbox is completely unresponsive forcing us to switch the console off completely. I've managed to get to a point where I can spawn in the world, but I spawn in the middle of nowhere, did not recognise the world at all and also some of the controls and graphic settings had changed. The graphic and control issue can be fixed by resetting to defaults, but I'm yet to find a way of getting my actual world back.
I've spent some hours trying to research fixes, we're not alone. However, moving my world onto an external hardrive and reinstalling the entire game and clearing the cache doesn't work.
The error must be something to do with the seed as my main worlds seed is "0" and my others have numerous numbers in them. I can't find any reassurance on any of the formal websites that this has been identified as a bug so I'm left to think that something in the last release has actually perminately corrupted my world, which if this is the case then I probably won't ever play the game again. My son has shed too many tears and I am actually quite upset because we built this world together for a very long time.
If anyone can help please do!
Do not save over your world. Delete the update and reinstall it. Then try loading your world again.
Same thing happened to me. My previous world didn't want to load, so I made a new world to see if that one would work (it did). So I tried loading my previous world again, it did except it was different. I exited making sure not to save.
Re-installinging the update fixed my problem.
In the future make a backup of your Save's before updating. It only takes a couple minutes...i also make a backup of the update just in case the new update is a glitch ridden mess.... Which it usually is.
I've had the same issue with my xbox 360 version and my best world came up with the seed 0 and it's strange that this happened right after the last update. Been working on fixing it but no results. Starts to load, but freezes up and have to restart the whole console
