My bf got me a Xbox 360 because we both like old gaming consoles. It isn't that old but with how fast are techno. is today. I'd say a little but my hopes were still high. A day so two after we get it the people we are renting from told us that they are going to change there cable provider so that would mean no more internet. We'd figure lets still try Minecraft - Xbox_360_Edition_ MINECRAFT
MY QUESTION -
When we did "system setup" we could no longer connect to the internet SO we both are only play single player offline mode. There are things you see online that sometimes matches up with our game even though it's OFFLINE. So what exactly is the difference from being online? Does going online give you the advantage of updating your Minecraft? Like additional stuff gets added (beets, potatoes, wood)?
Sorry if I shouldn't of posted here or there was a question like this already.
If your xbox was connected to the internet it would update and add new features. You'd have to make your current offine profiles xbox live profiles, then when you played the game it would let you know whenever there was an update.
If your referring to the Online check box when you load a world then that is only available with an xbox gold subscription. That allows you to play multiplayer online with friends.
We have decided at the moment till we "possibly" get internet to get the updates though thumb drive. We know that you have to format the glad drive to Fat32 on the computer then you put it in the Xbox and were guessing it's suppose to read what's on it?. But you download all the updates from a certified download list. Just google " how to format a flash drive for Xbox" and it tells you.

I'm guessing all 45 (I think it said ) don't know or feel like telling.
Thanks a bundle 😑
From my experience, online allows you to do the updates and play multiplayer from different consoles (not the splitscreen crud)
I dont do the online gaming, so updates and DLC are where I am at.
Note that you have to either have the disc or downloaded the game to that harddrive, otherwise others cannot play on their profiles
I believe you can download updates to a thumbdrive (flashdrive), though not entirely sure how
Perpetually negative
