OK so I had to update minecraft with a USB because I don't have internet where I live. I've downloaded tu 45 and didn't see the banners, I then downloaded tu44 and still nothing. I've even cleared my Xbox cache and everything but nothing... I gave me the mimi games option which I didn't have before but nothing else. Can someone help me?
I play creative mode a lot with my children and I've looked through the whole creative list I even put down a crafting table to find the extra menu it's not there. If I'm not mistaken the update even came with magma blocks which I couldn't find either... I even tried creating a new world still no luck
Pretty sure banners are in the "Decorations" tab of the creative menu. In the crafting table, there is a separate menu for banners. If you truly cannot find it, it might be a bug.
I dont know for sure about creative, but Im willing to agree with creepersting. I'd say scroll through decorations where you find colored glass and wool...
As for survival, if you enter the crafting table, you need 6 wool of the same color and a stick. (And you will need dyes to make decorations on it.) If you hit right trigger I believe, (someone correct me if I'm wrong) it takes you to banner crafting menu. It may take some getting used to, as I know it did me.

I use classic crafting when I'm dyeing banners. I printed a cheat sheet off the wiki that shows the different configurations, and it goes so much faster than using the console crafting gui.
It is left trigger in the crafting table interface to switch to the banner menu.
Well see I know all that but for some reason I can't find them. I figured they would be in the decorations tab and I know there's a different tab on the crafting table but even the tab ain't there. Would it have anything to do with going from tu31 to tu45? Without the in between?
No, there is only one update file and each time we get a new update the old file is deleted and replaced with the new one, so jumping forward like that shouldn't cause problems.
