Can someone please tell me I'm not going crazy? So I was just playing on a minecraft xbox 360 world, and apparently the people I was playing with were new guys, and I tell them I'm a really good minecrafter, and at building. So I start building a penthouse, then I say that their ray gun sucks, and I could build a better one. I do so and they obviously hate on it. : <
Then I notice fire in my penthouse, and I think they are trolling me, and then I say someone is invisible, and they all deny me saying there is no host privileges, so I suggest that someone has a potion, but they say they don't have it, or they don't know where to get it.
More lava in my building, and they say its from the ray gun. They said that fire charges either disappear once shot, or turn into lava, which ive never heard of before, them turning to lava. They then show me by shooting the ray gun, and I go up to the fire that's landed, and a few seconds later they turn to lava. I immediately started to check if anyone was invisible, but no one seemed to be invisible, but I suspected this one person, who didn't look like he was at his house, but once I got back, he was there, but I didn't look too hard so I don't know.
So then I flew away to a village to test it far away from the other people, and I place down fire, and the turned to lava a few seconds later. But I wasn't convinced, so I kept trying for like 3 seconds then I got an idea. I would use the map to see if anyone was invisible, or near me.
I asked if anyone was invisible, they said they were not invisible, and they were not lying, and I placed down fire from a fire charge atleast 100 times, nothing, and no one was nearby but me, and I thought that was a little odd (They told me it was really rare, but when they showed me with the dispenser, all of them turned to fire, but when I did it, nada). Unfortunately I didn't have my map out earlier to see, so I have no idea.
They were still trying to convince me that this was a thing, so I looked it up online to confirm. I pulled up the page on fire charges on the minecraft wiki on wikia, and I saw nothing.
They then tried to quiz me, to make sure I was a real pro, whilst making fun of me saying they were more pro then me, but I doubt since I have been playing since beta. The last question they asked was "Is there a house on top of the nether" and I said no, but you can make one. He then said that it is a rare occurrence, and said I sucked at minecraft(After I left the world, he said he wasn't lying, and he found it on all of his worlds. Not only this, but remember he is new, I think he said either 1st day playng or 5th, so how would he know were to look on his first world, and on survival too? Generally nw players suck, and would not get to the nether real soon, it doesn't add up). I looked this supposed house online and found something, but I'm not sure if it fake, considering what I found came from two separate people, but one of those people made it in a skit, I think, I didn't watch it.
When I got back, there was lava all over my ray gun I made to prove I was a better builder then there trashy ray gun. Trust me, it sucked. they said it was all from their ray gun, which was approximately 50 blocks to the right.... So I left, but it doesn't all add up, and I'm still not sure. They may have been partly trolling, maybe not..
So the bottom line is was I being trolled? Or am I going crazy? Because I'm sure if there was a house on top of the nether I would certainly know about it, and I think it would be pretty obvious if fire charges sometimes changed to lava, but no one was around, they were all at there houses, and that one guy was right there next to me, so he didn't do it, so I'm just really confused right now, please help me. Thanks for reading, if you did
You are not going crazy. I have never heard of a house on top of the nether, and the fact that they knew you could get on top of the nether means that they knew a bit more about minecraft than they wanted to let on.
Something you may already know: you can turn particles and gamertags off, so someone with host privileges could be invisible by potion, and you would have no way of knowing.
They were messing with you. Fire charges never do that, something else must have been involved.
