Played a game of Minecraft on the XBOX 360 that I started back in March. Located stronghold, got all the achievements. Great.
My 8 yo wanted to play a world and get achievements, so we started a new game using the same seed number.
The Stronghold isn't in the same location. Most everything else is the same, save for a few topography changes. Dungeons, mines, town. But the stronghold, nope... not where it was in the same seed # on our other game save.
Is it possible you made an error when you entered the seed number or didn't put the negative (-) sign in front of the seed? There was a problem with worlds generating slightly different with the same seed, but that was fixed in January. If you created the first world in March and had the latest update it should generate exactly the same every time.

Is that normal? Thanks.

Yeah, it was entered exactly the same. This is confounding.
Thanks, tho.
