I bought 2 controllers. My daughter and my son want to play on multiplayer. When we click on multiplayer it says minecraft xbox 360 is a multiplayer game by default. If you are playing in hd you can have local players join by attaching controllers and pressing start. When I press start the 2nd controller won't do anything. It is as if the controller is not connected. What are we doing wrong?
Let me just make sure of what you're doing. Player one starts up the game and creates or loads a world. Once it's loaded, player 2 hits start on their controller. At this point the game should switch to split screen mode. Are you doing all that, but the second player isn't activating?

Have you synced the second controller with the Xbox? They are not automatically detected and synced out of the box.

Well...I'll ask the obvious, are you playing in HD?
