I was messing around with some circuits on my test map the other day, Then it hit me!!! In almost all hunger game maps for the console there is always the problem of players remembering where all the best items are in the game. Well not any more!!! I have come up with a system that uses a single use BUD detector to randomly select a single item, multiple items, or even combinations of both and transports them to a chest. Even works on super flat worlds!!! The only thing visible is the droper directly underneath, behind, to the side, or top depending where the chest needs to be placed.
-You will need to run a single redstone wire to each cell, the cell is made up of 1 single use BUD detector ran to a single or multiple droppers filled with the items you want it to choose from. You can also play around with them to do things like - only activate a dropper with let's say 3 stone swords, 3 stone axes, 2 wood swords, and an iron sword once and then activate another dropper with 8 cookies, 8 Mellon, and a piece of steak two or three times. The first dropper will only choose 1 weapon at random and then the second will choose randomley how ever many pieces of you want it to. And these Do NOT have to be the items used, it can be ANY ITEMS you want. droppers should be placed directly feeding into hoppers. The hoppers will then lead out of the cell to a dropper tower that will feed the items up into your chest.
-Surrounding the BUD detector, dropper or droppers, some of the hoppers, and the circuitry would be bedrock. This is to prevent any players from trying to dig underneath and reaching the droppers with the rest of the unused items still inside. Also you don't need to worry about players trying to send active signals to it to try and get it to fire off again because the single use BUD Detector will lock itself. ( IMPORTANT- you can activate the BUD detector by running the single redstone wire directly to outside of the bedrock block the BUD is next to, as long as when you are building the cell you place the BUD right up against the wall)
-These cells would then be placed underground and ran up to the chests, activated only once at the beginning of the round.
-There are many different things you can make these cells do, you might want to even make it activate a random number generator to make it choose from a number of droppers adding even more randomization. Or run that random number generator to a system that will choose how many times a dropper will be activated, or BOTH lol. You can even play around with the quantities of items to get different ratios. For example if I have a dropper with four slots filled with cookies, four with bread, and one golden apple the chances of getting that gold apple are 1 and 9 every time the game is played. You can get just about any combination of items with these.
-The examples I have given are just a few things you can do, you could even take all these examples and put them into one. Like I said, there are many things you can get these random item cells to do. You just need to test it out yourselves.
And not all chests need to be like this (like spawn).
-THIS IS POSSIBLE, I have multiple designs for this device and all work!!! Just remember, the more complex you want the cell the bigger it gets so if you are building on a superflat world take into consideration how tall it is, you don't want anything to show but the dropper underneath the chest. All bedrock and the wiring to the dropper tower should not be seen from the surface.
If anyone has any questions or wants more information on getting cells to do specific things please let me know, I would be happy to help. Also I would like to know what everyone thinks about this device, and if you do use it what you think of the idea!!!
THANK YOU ALL AND HOPE THIS WILL REVALUTIONIZE CONSOLE HUNGER GAMES!!!
This system would make it to where every time you loaded your world to play, it would not be the same exact items in the same exact chests every time you played. And the bigger the cells the bigger the circuits the more random the game. Another thing, if you do not want to use bedrock you can still build these cells but make sure to turn off players ability to break blocks. You could even take this a step further and attach an extra random number generator to give a option to make it a trap. Use slight odds though, don't want to much destruction. Or do you?
Kind of like lucky block hunger games... For console.😐
