Ok, beginning to build a new world on Minecraft Xbox, and I need to know how many of certain blocks I can place in my world? Can someone who is really advanced please tell me?
1. Amount of signs?
2. Amount of Redstone?
3 Amount of Glass?
4. Amount of Carpets?
5. Amount of Armour Stands?
also, I do have the most recently updated Minecraft, as of 6/18/2016
1. I don't know for certain but a lot. Possibly unlimited.
I have an old Redstone Tutorial world I made with signs describing how/why things work (before Written Books were added). There's got to be about a hundred or so. Be aware that the text on a sign counts as an entity, so lots of "worded" signs will contribute to lag.
2. Unlimited. Redstone dust is technically a block so there is no limit to how much can be placed.
3. Unlimited. Glass is block.
4. Unlimited. Carpets are blocks.
5. Sixteen, last time I checked. Armor stands are entities so they must be limited in some way on the lower-end consoles. As entities, however, they function differently from blocks, such as sliding across ice and getting picked-up by minecarts.
Just to add a little here... iv got a slime farm with over thousands of signs, but with signs being tile-enties they cause a whole lot of lag in that amount, and when I want to craft slime blocks iv to revert back to console crafting because it's painful trying to drag any thing across the invetory.
The same can be said for redstone dust, large amounts of it in a certain area will hurt your frames too, and the stronger the Redstone signal the more lag it causes, which is why if I ever just need a low signal strength I always use comparators instead of repeaters or dust.
