I have been playing a coop game with a friend of mine for more than a year now, with all of our work being on the same map. We have no desire to abandon that map to begin a new one. We are still using version TU30 and had no desire to upgrade until it had been out for a long while to see if anyone else has had any issues, as we had been caught out before, with lag.
I would like to know if anyone has had any issues with the patches, in particular TU31. Will upgrades like this, corrupt my map. Has anyone here had any issues with their maps becoming unplayable after upgrading to TU31 and higher?
I host a map series and have never encountered any issues with any of my five maps other than the usual connection lag and a player being kicked due to...I think the texture pack, which is easily remedied by loading and saving in the default.
Anyone point my single-player survival lagged like all heck in the oevrworld, but is fine in the current version.
There has been sporadic reports of worlds being corrupted after an Update in the past, but I haven't heard anything like that happening in over a year. Doesn't mean it won't, but chances seem to be very low.
In short, the world should be fine.
However, if you update now you will get the latest version, TU35, which reportedly has issues with spawn-rates. One of the reasons I am still running TU34 (and No! you never get used to the super-sensitive Sprint controls... only tolerate it).
