You, sir or ma'am, are correct. I created a new world and everything works just fine. It sucks though, because I really put a lot of work into my other one. Maybe it will get fixed soon.

Since the latest update, I have been experiencing really bad bugs to the point where I can no longer enjoy the game. Here is a list of them:
1. Mobs are seriously lagging when hit, and they stay in the 'dead' position for several seconds before disappearing.
2. Horses and minecarts also lag terribly, and I can't ride either one because they barely move.
3. Drops are not picked up immediately, and I have to walk over them a few times first.
4. Eating is not immediate either, and I have to hold the trigger down for several seconds.
Like I said, this is seriously messing everything up and I don't think I can play until they get fixed.
Welcome to the joy of having an old world. It's time to pack up and move on.

I've been playing on a map that was created prior to the very first update and I haven't had any of these issues.
Are you playing online? Almost sounds like lag from slow internet.
Nope. I don't even have the 'online' box checked.
