I have minecraft installed on the harddrive and had an idea that I am not sure would work as I think. Here are the Qs:
1. What TU would my minecraft be if I deleted the TU?
2. If I find a seed with 2 temples after deleting TU, only uncover the 2 temple locations on map, would reinstalling TU32 fill in rest of map with what it would normally be with areas where temples be untouched? [like if a mountain is normally where a temple is, would the temple area cut into mountain area]
3. would saved games with fully filled maps be affected, even if not loaded up after TU deletion?
I hope this was explained properly. Basically I am hoping to get a 2 jungle temple seed that has as little jungle as possible, as I generally remove all the brush from the area. I have a few that I have checked via chunkbase, but a lot of course have massive jungles. Theoretically, what I hope to do is have these temples in regular forests or cutting into mountains for interesting scenery and less work removing unwanted brush
Not sure now what version would come up if you deleted it... it used to all go back to TU9 (which was when the disk version was pressed)... just know it won't be a step back of just one update. Generally, if you try to fill in a map via more than one update... what you wind up with is a mess... things like square, shear mountain sides colliding with vastly different terrain in a straight line right along chunk boundaries. Also, how are you going to get to the two different temple locations on your map without walking through the chunks between them (which loads them from bedrock to sky limit)? Whatever you do, do not try to load up a map created with a later update while the update is deleted (i.e. trying to load it in an earlier version of Minecraft)... this will almost certainly corrupt the file even if you exit without saving. Whether or not there is some sort of problem if you don't try to load up the files while the TU is deleted?... depends on whether you believe all the people who have reported lost and corrupted worlds over the years. Some claim to have had worlds develop problems even when they haven't tried to load them with an update deleted. I think it would be less work to just build a replica of a generated temple manually wherever you want one in your world... and you'll get a more pleasing result. There is nothing in a jungle or desert temple that is really unique. Ocean monuments are more problematic, since you need one in the world first before you can obtain the materials to build one manually.
With all the issues people report that can possibly be associated with bad downloads of updates, mismanagement of files with deleted updates, and more recent issues with not being able to download the latest update... deleting a good download of an update is just something I wouldn't ever do.
The Title Update file contains more than just new blocks and mechanics. It also contains some coding the game needs to run those latter updates. I'm not sure but it might even contain the code for generating Temples, so what you're asking might not even be possible. The only thing to do is to try yourself.
But like UpUp said, careful loading already generated worlds as they may become irrevocably corrupted. Best start with a new world. To answer #3, if you leave a save file alone while the TU file is deleted it should be fine. All mine were unaffected when I toyed with deleting the TU file. If you have concerns you can always simply transfer the files to thumb-drive and remove the drive from the system while you mess around.

Perpetually negative

I'm interested to see what you come up with.
When I do it, it takes me to TU1, though I believe it starts later, depending on when you got the game.
And anything will pretty much blow up if you "go back in time."
Take note that deleting title updates will probably reset your leaderboards, too.
Stay fluffy~
