My gf and I have been playing the same survival for quite awhile, getting our new achievements knocked out of the way. But we are stuck on Rainbow Collection! Turns out we dont have a forest.. which means no cocoa beans, which we need for our last brown wool. Hoped we'd find it in caves systems, ect... nope. Anyone know how we can do this somehow without starting new survival? Or searching all over for a brown sheep, tried that too D:
Cocao beans have a chance of spawning in dungeon chests. If that continues to fail, move all of your farm animals into the Nether to maximize spawning and just keep looking for a brown sheep!
Not sure about after tu31 but I use to keep all wool so people could get the achievement. It use to work so you just had to mine it off the ground to get it. If so try a shepard villager if you have one and buy the brown wool from him. He sells all colors. I killed villagers so they would breed more until I got a shepard.
With the recent addition of the Shepherd villager, this is probably your best bet. If your world doesn't have a village, cure a pair of zombie villagers, build a village and breed them until you get a shepherd. Beyond that, it's your underground chest, not only dungeons, but mineshafts as well... and beyond that, moving your breeding operations to the nether as suggested by BP to maximum overworld natural spawning and keep looking for a brown sheep. Also, if you have a plains area that is remote (e.g. on an island tucked away in a corner of your map), go there and save and exit while you're there. Then reload the world while you spawn there. This keeps animals in other parts of the world out of the system's memory banks and will allow the maximum number of animals to spawn in that part of the world around you and, if on plains, you'll be able to see them easier. If you don't have such a plains area, you can also remove a forested area to increase the visibility of the animals spawning near you.

yes, chests. look in the nether fort or a start up chest, or mob spawner chest. these often have seeds.
