Well.I'm not novice .but one thing i didn't understand yet. I made a sealed farm of wood planks for my mobs (Cows , chickens and sheeps) But...my sheeps are disappearing suddenly,,I don't know why. The cows are ok,The chickens are ok,but the sheeps are disappearing.I play in xbox 360 edition. I thank to the one who helps me. And..sorry my english. I'm brazilian.
Also, there is a separate section of these forums for the 360 edition of Minecraft.

Have you tried putting them in fencing instead?

put them in fences, because the game thinks fences are kinda a werid block, so they wont de-spawn
