I like literly EVERYTHING! the new biomes, new flowers, new fish, mouton (of course) and most importly, OCEAN MONUMENTS! i have been waiting for them for forever, but i dont have one in my world sadly, but i do have a seed that does have one.
But overall, I like everything!
and here is that seed i was just talking about 1075111562
I am missing the old generation a bit, but the new generation is cool.
I'm wondering why the old generation is likeable though.
Here is a interesting possible contributing factor
for movies and stuff, they pick apealing colour schemes.(often they emphasize blue and orange)
I really like the green and blue that the old worlds were so prominent in. They are very calming colours. and if you lighten up the colour of dirt it is orange, as well as orange cocoa plants, and pumpkins.
So green and blue are relaxing, and blue and orange look exciting. a nice mix.
Now a lot of red and yellow has been added to the mix, with roofed forests having red mushrooms, red and brown mesas, yellowy savannas, orangy podzool, pinkish granite, sunflowers.
I do like the new generation, its just the colours are not as relaxing anymore.
Here is some not exactly proven information about color phsycology:
blue is a color of relaxation, of contemplation, of abstraction, driving creativity
green is a color, that rejunivates excitment, it is also an agreeable colors, as well as one that drives materialistic desires(collecting resources in minecraft).
or
brown is a color that provides a sense of security, and also drives materialistic desire
orange is an extremely optomistic color
yellow is a very happy color, but so happy that it can induce anxiety if one is not feeling it.
red is a passionate survival color, in excess it can cause agitation and anger
Its probably the yellow thats putting me off the most, despite the fact that I like savanna biomes.
I like rabbits alot, and them spawning should be fixed soon.

Yes they would be super nice for adventure maps.
This is why I like hanging around ice spikes. The nice cool blue of the packed ice aside with a nice view of the ocean plus a good mountainous terrain and snow, can't forget snow. Toss in some 2x2 spruce and some podzol and course dirt, a few flowers and you have a nice little meditation spot.
Just toss in some sounds of nature and enjoy.
OT: I love everything about this update! I only have had few very small issues. There is one other thing that slightly bugs me. I have crafted only 1 fishing rod but have had 6 or 7 now, each new rod enchanted with unbreaking III or luck of the sea II or III or /and lure II or III. I'm not sure if its just luck or if fishing up enchanted items seems fairly easy. Just yesterday pulled up a bow near perfect condition with power IV and punch II. I fish a lot

I like to fish too... but my luck even with the "Luck of the Sea" enchantment on my rod isn't nearly as good as yours. I've only gotten 1 enchanted rod as treasure. My other treasure has also been rather limited... and most of that has been caught when I wasn't fishing with a Luck of the Sea enchanted rod. I even thought it was a bug with the enchantment because it seems to make my luck worse, not better... but Steve looked at it and confirmed that it "works as intended." I love the new animation that goes with fishing now.

That paradise sounds ok, but somewhat unsettling. and not enough green
Maybe its that the ice is unaturally blue, maybe its the biting cold that should be freezing you to death, but instead it lures you in.
Maybe its because I live in michigan
Nevertheless, I am creating a captain obvious signature for this reason.
I like the update mostly but I hate the fact that they have made villages extremely rare. In some seeds they don't spawn at all.
Also extreme hills biomes no longer exist any more. They rarely go over Y:106. You can see the difference if you play old worlds with extreme hills. On those worlds you can see mountains go up to the clouds or higher.

I think the villages are ok... but maybe they could add some console exclusive villages like ice villages, or flat mesa villages....
They don't seem to be fixing the hills yet, But based on bug reports I think they will do something about it eventually.

I just got the latest update for my Xbox Minecraft. I'm really liking it! Here are some of my thoughts...
I'm liking the new fish types. More variation. Thumbs up!
Thank god for mutton!
I am glad that they fixed the horse bugs. Foals can move by themselves, and they follow adults.
The new flowers are amazing. There are no excuses not to have a fabulous garden.
What do all of you think?

I'm liking most of it. A few little glitches, but nothing game breaking for me so far.
After all the "good," I've personally become peeved that Barriers and custom spawners are in here, yet we still don't have normal access to them.
Stay fluffy~
Update full of features I've been waiting for since forever == awesome... bugs that break the game everywhere else == sucky
My only hope is that some of the bugs I'm running into can be fixed in my existing world; I hope it's not tainted somehow :-/
its really cool but I liked the X Ray glitch, to bad they fixed it.
