So I just updated MCXBE to TU31. And I know the update is supposed to make it feel like MC 1.8, but there are still a bunch a things that need to change with mobs. I've created a list of all the things I've found don't work right:
1) The enderman AI is broken. They still teleport away, but they usually don't try to attack you and it seems that there attack radius is off
2) The bunny AI is messed up. Although they do try to hop away from the play, they just don't do it right. They keep rotating and moving in random directions much like cows, sheep and pigs do. There's also this shutteryness that seems really annoying.
3) Cows Don't have the same amount of hit points as they did before. Even when you use any type of sword, it always takes 3 hits to kill them. It also seems like they don't spawn as much (I mean it's like they NEVER spawn anymore) and they only spawn REALLY often and in REALLY big packs in certain biomes.
4) Overall, all mobs spawn less often. And I know that there AI is probably intentionally supposed to be un - reactive and slow, but it's getting outta hand!
Now I'm not trying to issue all the bugs for the new update, no. All I'm saying is there are a few things that need to change in the next update.
Please report bugs to the official bug tracker and thread. But to address your issues:
1.) I haven't noticed this myself, so I'll look into this and get back to you.
2.) There's something wonky about pathfinding in this update. Hopefully it'll be fixed in the next update.
3.) Okay, so I'm not crazy. Good. I haven't noticed fewer cows, just beefier ones (pun intended).
4.) Spawn seems fine for me. Make sure that animals aren't getting stuck in caves and on ledges, which'll cause spawn to drop. Alternately, if you have a sheep farm and silk touch, you could move all of your sheep and some grass to the Nether and collect your wool there. This will not only increase over world spawn, but allow for the maximum number of sheep to exist without disrupting over world spawns.
Enderman AI being off sounds about right, they don't seem to attack/are attracted to Endermites. I'm glad I'm not the only one to notice something was iffy there.
