I say for now we'll have to hope the next update fixes it since I still can't pinpoint the issue. The Nether (and presumably the End if I had one) work just fine for me
Despite the lag, I've still been playing in my world, and it seems to have improved slightly since then. It's still annoying, mind you, but more tolerable. It's been a good excuse to do Never work, at least.
I'm having lag issues too on new worlds as well as old.. I have to exit to dashboard and clear system cache on hard drive, and that gives me like 45 min of mostly lag free play.

Does it improve if you turn the music off? I've been playing with the music off since they changed it a few updates back... and I'm experiencing very, very little lag anywhere.

Sorry to hear that. I can't explain why I'm not lagging then. I do get a little lagwhen I operate my cobblestone generator in the form of momentary x-ray-ness when the piston push the blocks forward... and it's the only redstone contraption I've put into this particular new world so far... so perhaps redstone is really the culprit.
Cache clearing seemingly made it worse, buuuut I'll have to try to see if music and sounds make a difference. Since I swap back and forth between having them on and off, maybe that may kinda sorta be it.

I can't even play multiplayer, It'll freeze up for 20 seconds but mobs can still move, i've died several times like that. I need to stop this lagging by 6.00 PM
Multiplayer MC on 360 has been laggy for years. If you get more than two people in a game you are going to get killed by people and mobs who are nowhere near you. there are no servers in 360 MC so you are at the mercy of the hosts connection and of course your own connection.
And single-player lag is different from multiplayer, which is weird. Like, I'm used to how to get around online lag, but this solo lag...weird. It's funny hitting stuff with knockback II, at least.

Reading through the bug tracker, BP, I think they did possibly find an issue with pistons causing lag and freezing. They've marked the reports as "fixed" in the next bug fix update... here's hoping.
I have like, 30~40 pistons tops in my world, none of which are used frequently. Most are decoration and maybe half work a prototype auto-farm. Is it their existence or use, or doesn't it say?

Sorry, I don't really know... was assuming it was in use. I don't have near that many pistons in my world(s) since I don't tend to use them as decoration almost at all. I do also tend to keep my redstone stuff down to a bare minimum. (Most of what I do relates eventually to my railroads. and the world I'm working on now is essentially brand new and I've not go any really developed yet... I do have a stone generator that uses pistons to push the blocks ahead since I like to keep my railroad tunnels "clean"... and it's when it's running that I've been noticing a little bit of lag. Otherwise, the game is pretty much running smooth as silk for me.) I and was just trying to help you guys figure it out by letting you know what I might be doing differently (e.g. playing with the music off). Another thing, perhaps, I don't tend to use item frames and I don't have any paintings up in this world yet nor do I have any very tall builds in this world, so maybe that keeps the load on the processors down a bit. My iron golem farm now has 20 villagers running around and a fair few animals of different types... but most players probably do build bigger farms than I. I also try to keep my numbers of chests low - probably 20 at most in the entire world.
When you do, it's best if you just add a comment to other reports about lag issues... otherwise, your report will probably just get marked by them as a "duplicate" - I see that a number of the reports now are getting flagged that way. The ones that are already marked as "duplicate" will say which MCCE# is the main report they are referencing back to.

Like, this always happens. I go into singleplayer survival and it lags it lags like a heart attack. What can i do?
I have the same issue in only the overworld. Is your world quite old?
Stay fluffy~
Yes, it's Pre TU14 world. I really don't wanna start over because i have so much good stuff.

I'll try that

No, I really have no idea about what i can do

Music and sounds did nothing.

It's is just crazy, I want this lag gone

I'm just going to report this to 4J
