I am fairly satisfied with this update. It added quite a bit to the game. Fishing is still my number 1 add lol. Slime blocks are great, a pain to learn how
to use correctly but great. The extra villager professions haven't impacted my play as of yet, I've been saving the villagers for end game. The biomes
are plentiful though the new world generator leaves much to be desired. In all the maps that I have looked at I have not seen a mooshroom island, out of the 100ish seeds I've tried. The fact that most seeds generate a ton of water is a bit annoying but in the same sense does add a bit of fun.
Then there were animations that came to every texture pack which I thought was pretty neat. Plus we have 2 console exclusive blocks now. Smooth sandstone stairs and smooth red sandstone stairs, granted both are only available in classic crafting. I think its just a small remenant of the bug that
4J had mentioned. The one thing that bugged me a bit was that I had such a hard time finding bunnies. I found that after cutting a large section of grass
they were a bit easier to find. I usually find one or two near my house every few days now. I can confirm sightings in the savannah and in spruce
forests.
The other few things that I have tinkered with so far are of course fishing and sailing. My very first catch was a salmon which made me happy. The new
drops seem pretty hard to come by which was expected. And sailing seems a bit slower now. I had also noticed that the boats are a bit easier to steer
but not quite as easy to slow down. All in all the new sailing mechanics have improved and are easily an overlooked feature add-on.
Enchanting is something that I have yet to explore but I know that bottles o' enchanting do give marginally less exp. Prior to the update 64 bottles would
easily land you at least lv 27. The last time I tried I made it to 22. This does make enchanting a bit tougher but doesn't really impact a player so much
that it becomes unenjoyable. The challenge to get to lv 30 is more than welcome in my eyes.
I really think that 4J knocked this one out of the park and I'm glad that they managed it prior to the new year.
Bug fixes. Crafting recipes for many of the blocks. Spawner Cages in the Creative menu. And then a fond farewell to the seventh-gen consoles; it's time to move on.
Just give us severs. Waiting for your one friend to come online so you can play in the world you spent 30+ hours in, then you find out he'd rather play call of duty for the next two weeks instead. Sigh.
Seriously, just servers. It'll change the way we play
Love the new update. Only have one problem, since update I am unable to use maps, They come up blank saying new map #0. If I click LT to use then they disappear. Am I doing something wrong? Otherwise love new update. New biomes are jun.

Make sure you only have 1 blank map in your hand (i.e. if you're in creative mode and you have a stack of them, you have to isolate one. With the map in your hand, just press the left trigger and it should open (works for me). Then, of course, it only shows the area right around where you are standing until you explore more area with the map open in your hand.
To create a giant wall map as I do? For example, I take the stack of maps and opening generates the same
OK, it does generates filled maps one at a time and stacks them in your inventory (filled to whatever extent you've explored your world). To open and view a map, you need to have just one in your hand.
I personally really like the update but do you what could be next?
Bug fix... then probably 1.9.
I LOVE the new update, too! They added much more blocks, new biomes, and even more professions for villagers.
I think eventually they might add mods to Xbox but I could be wrong!

Something-something bug fixes. Something-something command blocks. Something-something 1.9.
Also, you're missing a verb in there.
Stay fluffy~

It kinda bothers me how close together the biomes are now
