Rabbits naturally spawn in plains, extreme hills, forest, taiga, swamp, jungle, birch forest, roofed forest, cold taiga, mega taiga, and savanna biomes. They usually spawn in groups of three; one adult and two babies.

Which of course you are assuming the PC version and the 360 version share the same rates. I have learned NOT to trust the wiki for the 360 version as its geared to the PC version and not consoles and have had way too many discrepancies.
Where are the rabbit mobs in the latest update? I can't seem to find any. Carrots don't help.

Perpetually negative
Just spent 12 hours on the tutorial seed rabbits are in the stable area but didn't see 1 rabbit spawn on entire seed.
