So in my town I've got a barn and a rail road station, but i don't know what else to put in it! And before you say "put in the buildings from the poll" i am planning to, but i want OTHER buildings beside those. So, any ideas?
I've always been utilitarian with my builds. If a building won't have a purpose to it that I'm going to use, I generally don't bother. That being said, I also don't typically emulate real-life architecture / styles. It's not unusual to find floating spheres or sub-terranian "meat grinders." The builds that can be recognized as being conventional (i.e. on the ground with a door or some windows) are also considerably unconventional, with elaborate layered facades that make the building much larger on the outside than it is on the inside.
But to answer your question:

Seriously, hop on your bike and cruise around town for an hour. You'll get a ton more ideas... unless your town really only has a barn, railway station, power plant, and security firm.

Will the railroad be utilized? If so, I would suggest another station or 2 so you can travel around the map and into different areas. Perhaps break the map down into a few smaller towns, each complete with its own feel
