Composite layers using Hardened and Stained clay to emulate the above picture. I would also set a bottom layer to about 30 Hardened Clay so you can get some good depth to the world. Set the map to "Desert biome."
Once the world has loaded use TNT to blast holes so you create the canyons and fissures and plateaus, etc. Sprinkle some sand here and there so you can plant dead bushes and cacti. Done.
I wanna create a mesa biome using the custom super flat generator. ..but have know IDea where to start...help
You can probably wait until they are actually in the game.
Look up mesa biome.
Find clay layers composition.
Recreated layers.
Set to desert biome.
Close enough.
