I'm fairly new to these forums and I've been trying to join these minecraft servers by doing what the hosts say and I write an application but this system never works because I never get a message or an invite and usually these hosts have full friend's lists.
If I send them a message it is generally ignored so I've just been sort of confused about these forums lately.
So all I know is, someone tells people about their serve then tells everyone who wants to join to reply to the thread in application form stating your name and age and everything. What do you do after that?
This is just speculation, but you might not fit the criteria the Host is looking for.
I don't know your age, but many people don't want anyone under the age of 18 because of the type of server they wish to run: adult language, adult themes, etc. There is a certain degree of risk involved in this lawsuit-happy world we live in and sometimes it's not worth it to take that risk. Age is also a good measure of a person's level of maturity. It's not always fair, but it's how we're programmed to think.
It could just be that the Host had found enough people to fill their server so ignored any additional requests.
I would suggest trying to get your own server going and have people join you. That way you can set your own criteria and choose who you want to play with based on their responses. Be warned though, there are trolls out there. We've all dealt with one or two of them. What can I say, some people just straight-up suck. Don't let it get you down, though. The vast majority of my online experience with MC has been great.
