So, I've not done any real testing but from observations it seems like there is a limit to the number of experience orbs which may exist at the same time.
I have a zombie grinder. I can easily get from level 0 to 15 by waiting for them to collect in the squeezing booth and then kill each of them individually. However, if I were to throw a potion of healing at them instead, it kills them all instantly but I usually only get 7 or so levels out of it (again, starting from level 0). I've done this 3 times with potions and the orb onslaught has been underwhelming each time. Definitely nothing like some of the youtube videos.
So, is there a limit to the number of orbs which may exist on the XBOX360?
Yeah, as with pretty much everything, there is. I rigged a lot of dispensers to rapid-fire bottles at me and gained very little exp. compared to throwing them one at a time at the ground.
My guess is there's a cap for particle effects. The Xp its self is not capped, so theoretically if you limited the amount of particle effects in a world. You'd get more Xp.
-Everything in MCXBE seems to be capped😬
