So I've finally had a chance to check it out this morning and it's really good. The blocks, the builds and the music. The mashup world is great. It takes slices from many Greek Myths and I had a lot of fun just checking it out. The Minotaur and the maze, Troy, Colossus of Rhodes, Medusa.. oh man.
I like the texture pack. I was bright and interesting. Its a 32x texture pack, and it was a great choice to go with that. The patterns weren't overwhelming and just plain nice to look at. The color palette was fitting and just felt like Ancient Greece. I'm loving the mosiacs. I have to say the 4J art team did an awesome at every level with this one.
Lastly the music is really good. As I understand it it was made specifically for the his mash up and the quality shows.
As a whole package I can see playing this mash up in survival when I have a chance. All I can say to 4J is please make more mash ups and texture packs of this quality.
I did via in game as well (wasnt playing at the time of first post and looked in the XBox store here the mashups are), there wasnt an option when I looked online. Will be looking more at in in a couple minutes, likely buying in a few after that for kids
I would rather have CONTENT than DLC, I really wish 4J would tell us what they are doing. The reason they realeased a small update before Minecon was so they didn't have to say anything.
I like this pack. The world save is phenomenal and better yet: Looks quite nice when using my Skyrim pack (needs a few tweaks). The music definitely is top notch, very well made pack. Daughter loves it as well, so of course bought it
My main complain is how bright the inventory deal is, but will get used to that.

Well worth the $4
What kind of tweaks do you plan to make? Just bought it on PS3 (XBL is having some issues right now, can't even download the trial on there). It looks really cool with the Skyrim TP, though a lot of the buildings are teal color because their made out of the various Quartz blocks.
I'm not familiar at all with Greek mythology, but can someone tell me what the huge underwater building is supposed to be?
The response from the Community has been absolutely fantastic on this pack.
The team really went all out on this one.

The underwater temple is Atlantas the sunken city myth.

When the default Greek world is loaded it uses colored clay I believe , so some areas are purple or something that is way out of place. Most everything else looks normal, the roofs on the buildings look very nice with the jungle blocks (Skyrim looks nice with that, just spruce is icky). The pillars are blue since quartz is in Shyrim, but still not bad imo.

what they added was the new woods but no saplings, so no way to get the awesome wood and doors. they didnt even add leaves. i have no idea where they are going with this.

I just looked, I see no trial.... Makes me hesitant to just go and buy without seeing what it would look like....
Perpetually negative
