I spawned in a new world and grabbed the bonust chest. Pumkin and melon seeds with a pick and some apples. I played for an hour and came off. Today I logged on and a new bonus chest appeared full with items. It's an offline game, and I destroyed the original chest. Hey, this one came with carrots

Chests regenerate each time the world is loaded

Thanks almighty wood block I will always honor you as the most important block

Chests only regenerate when you mine the original and then load the world. You won't be able to have a bunch of bonus chests all over.
