This is a bit off topic, but here we go, so my friend, Ivanisawesome100, made every single one of my diamonds into a bunch of diamond hoes, so as you can see from the title, I need some revenge ideas so I can get back at him. It doesn't matter how harsh it is, i need him to realize his BIG mistake, NOBODY messes with my diamonds. so if you have any ideas, post them below
For the future you might want to consider storing your diamonds and valuables within an ender chest, they are safe there from things like this as only you will have access to them.

Really? I never knew that. So, if I make an enderchest in my world and someone else joins it, they can't open it?
No they can open it but they only see stuff they put in it. Ender chests are special chests in that anyone can use them but only access to the stuff they put in it. They are secure in that way as even if its broken so long as a new ender chest is created and placed anywhere else in the world you can still access your stuff from it, as can anyone else. This is why ender chests should be placed anywhere there is high traffic as one can easilly access thier goodies from such a location, without having someone steal from another player.
So if player a puts 2 diamonds in it, player b can't see or access anything that player a put in it and visa versa.
Well I'm not the type of person that seeks revenge, and also that I don't know the full story. I've played with a number of new players whom used resources early in the game that could have been used for other things, for example most of our iron supply was turned into rail tracks, and though while I was angry I did not seek revenge. However If this was done on purpose I would have removed him from my friends list and found another player to take his place.
There are alot of people whom are passionate about MC, its just a matter of giving people a fair shake, but also precautions must also be taken, as you just never know. That said, you just might meet a new best friend with respects to the game. For me, diamonds are not as important as they once were, as I can get nearly all the tools, weapons and armor I need from villagers.
So if he simply was a newbie, whom didn't know better, then i'd simply talk with him about it, and if he did know better, well afraid he'd be off my friends list for sure.
Well, that's just a real jerk move. It's not even a prank. That's what my generation used to call "being an a**hole."
I would force your friend to strip mine with stone tools only, using iron only to collect diamonds, until s/he pays you back.
Or...
The slow payback.
Whenever you are online together, replace one block in his house/base/whatever with a dirt block when he's not around. Don't say anything and deny it if he asks. Just keep doing it: one block every time you're playing together. Do it for, like... 2 or 3 months. It could be a random block each time, but I think the prank would really shine if it's the same block every time.
Even when he's like, "Hey! I know it's you. Cut it out!"
Be like, "Yo, it ain't me. Sod off!"
He might get so annoyed, he'll unfriend YOU. heheh
I once was mad at my brother, so I made this mine that got really dark at the end. I put a big sign out front that said "Diamond Mine and storage" and he walked into it. There was also a 22 block drop at the end, but being in a hurry and it being dark, he "fell" for it! Try something like that, I also like TNT.
Here's a suggestion: make some traps. You could use trapped chests, which emit a red stone signal when opened, or you could even make a tree bomb. I found this tutorial helpful for a tree bomb:

I think I would be inclined to hook his front door up to a stack of TNT, take a snap shot of the crater and post it on here

But on the brite side, you've got some high quality hoes....
But after they're prevalent in allowing you to plant your seed, they all become used/dirty hoes
