Hello! So, as any players of the Console Editions of Minecraft will know, there is a handy "Exit without saving" feature in the game. This feature has saved me and my stuff on numerous occasions. However, it can come in handy for some other things as well...
Picture this: You just started a new world. You're far enough along that you've got a home base and some basic materials. Not having a reliable XP Farm yet, you instead spend hours toiling away in the nether, mining nether quartz and dodging Ghast fireballs in order to get your Experience counter up to that precious number; 30. After getting there, you excitedly rush back home, and grab your shiny new Diamond Sword. You open the enchanting menu, pick the first level 30 enchant you see and get... Bane of Arthopods II??? What?!? This is NOT what you wanted. This is a ripoff! Sadly, all enchantments are final...
Or are they?
With this handy exit tool in the game, simply save your game immediately BEFORE enchanting your item. Get an enchantment you don't like? Just "Exit without saving" and try again! Repeat this process until you achieve the desired effect. Now there are a couple of things I should mention. First of all, I wouldn't consider this cheating, more like... exploiting a game mechanic... *Wink wink*
If you choose to use this method, be aware: The more possible enchantments an item has available to it, the longer it may take to get what you want. For example, it is actually relatively easy to get a Fortune III, Efficiency IV, Unbreaking III Diamond Pickax using this method, the reason being that the only other possible enchant you could get on it is Silk Touch. The game only has to choose from 4 options. However, enchanting a sword could take a bit longer, because there are so many more possible enchants you could put on it. Things like Sharpness, Smite, Looting, Fire Aspect, Knockback, etc. It may take longer to get a specific enchant. Same goes for armor. Of course, you could get lucky and get a great enchant on your first try, in which case this wouldn't be needed. However, I like to use this method because I sometimes feel cheated with the level 30 enchantments I get. Lastly, I have found that sometimes when re-entering your game, I may get the same enchant I got the first time. This doesn't always happen, I'm not quite sure how it works to be fully honest. The way I get around that is by pressing A a few times with the sword in the slot, taking the sword out and putting it back in multiple times. This will cycle through the unique enchants and most often give you a different result.
I hope this will help some of you put your hard earned levels to good use!

Billy mays here with another FAN-tastic product. Are you tired of loosing your levels on crappy enchants? Spending too much time just to get another name of anthropoids sword?
well stop getting "bugged" by lame enchants, and start using Exit-W/O-Save.
Using its patented "Return to home" technology, now even you can have the exact enchants you want on your items, every time.
Silk touch on a dimond pick axe? No Problem;
knockback on a sword when you needed unbreaking? No problem;
Aqua affinity on your nether exploring helm? No problem, with "exit-w/o-save", you finaly have the control you need.
Order now, and we'll throw in a bonus "creaper blew up my house" policy. All you have to do, is distort time and space to your liking, and it will be good as new.
For just three easy payments of $39.99, (and one payment that is just going to be the worst thing you've ever done. I mean, it's going to get lost in the mail, the check will bounce, and your smoking hot date will cancel on you. Just a real doozy) you can have two cans of "Exit-W/O-Save" each containing an unlimited amount of uses.
These great deals can't go on forever, so order yours today!
(Warning! Time and space are returned to last known save point, hours of work can potentionaly be lost, altering the past may result in children never being born, loved ones never being met, and forgetting to save those villagers that you had saved in the previous timeline. Always use exploits with care. No refunds available for this product. Must be 18 or older to order. No COD, have credit card ready when calling.)
I was actually surprised by how few of my friends on Xbox Live knew about this. I'm sure there are others out there that are aware of this, just as know there are people out there that don't. If you already knew about the exploit, than this thread means nothing to you. I created it more for the point of showing people who may not have known about it. And yes, I wanted to do it in a humorous way, hence the Billy-Mays like delivery...

Retired StaffUm, i think most are aware of this... or at least I have been.
People...people don't know about this?
And it took all of that text to say, "You can try to enchant something repeatedly by exiting without saving," really?
Stay fluffy~

Retired StaffKinda my thoughts too. They presented it as if they were a TV pitchman.
