have you ever tried to survive on a super flat world ... if so post your luck and how far you got before you died .
i got a great seed also for a super flat it only has one village but it has armor, food, and iron for a bucket
I never really saw the point of flatland survival. To me, flatland is for creative mode but whatever floats your boat I guess. I suppose its challenging as you can't mine any resources, collect water, no wood, and probably other stuff. Also unable to access the nether and the End, can't cook food or make torches...I guess it could be an interesting challenge but i'm not sold on the idea yet!
It can be done... Start with a bonus chest (gets you saplings and a steady source of wood and cobblestone tools). Get a village up to numbers to produce iron golems and get a bucket or bucket(s). Use water supply in village farms to made additional farms and "lakes" for fishing. Raid village farms and kill off animals for a steady food supply and for trading. If you get lucky, you can get obsidian for a nether portal in a blacksmith's chest, which can get you into the nether. Not sure, but villagers might trade in obsidian as well.
I started a flatland survival world a long time ago... got bored with it pretty quickly though.

There's that too... but you only get a couple of blocks in each blacksmith shop that way (unless you're a duper since lava sources are not infinite like water is). You do need at least 10 blocks of obsidian for a nether portal... so you still need to get some in the blacksmith's chest. You can also get diamonds, redstone and coal in the blacksmith's chest.
BTW, I looked up villager trading on the Wiki and don't see an option for villagers to trade obsidian, so it would all have to come from blacksmith shops located in the world. For best results, you probably do want to start with a seed with a lot of villages with blacksmith shops. Once you're into the nether - obsidian is essentially unlimited as is gold from pigmen and any other nether block (just by resetting the nether). (ETA - I stand corrected - forgot they brought in a superflat nether as well, which is devoid of lava, soul sand, gravel and nether wart.)
I don't think sand and clay are ever available in a superflat world... but I could stand corrected on that as well.
I had to seed hunt for my world with good blacksmith supplies.
It had just enough obsidian, diamonds (plus an extra) and lava for both a portal and enchantment table. From there, I royally abused villagers and have made a bunch of stupidly large farms of various sorts, including one that yielded over 6,000 wheat per harvest before I turned 40% of it into carrots/potatoes. I also habe a regular mob grinder, that zombie pigman one, and a passive mob grinder.
I'm currently working on making a forest, plains, and river biome. The place is becoming quite lively as opposed to the hauntingly empty fields of a regular flat world.
And yeah, no sand or sugar cane in it, but I have plenty of glass and a nice pile of cacti.
i got a good mob grinder too with that new TU20 bug fix update . plus they added witches can spawn in darkness so i get like a stack of redstone every minecraft day/night cycle plus i have a obsidian generator / cobblestone generator/ villager generator / and a huge pig farm
Well I had a go at the weekend and I think I might see the appeal of it now. It is very challenging, almost like doing skyblock. I was forgetting that bonus chests respawn, so I ended up getting some saplings. Don't think there is a village on this one, but haven't quite searched the whole map yet. I think I made it a little harder by having regeneration switched off. I might put that back on again as I am now down to about three hearts.
i have a good seed it only has one village but it has iron for a bucket a iron chest plate some apples and something else
anyone want the seed
but an update on the world i have a obsidian farm, 160x160 wheat farm (lots of emeralds) it takes like 20 min to replant; a mob grinder and a huge village (i added on houses and a villager incubator so i have like 6 blacksmiths 4 farmers 3 clerics 3 librarians); sheep and chicken farm , and other things
Found a village on my flatland. I have never seen one like this before, so not sure if this is unique to super flat worlds but all the buildings were two floors high. The blacksmiths was literally two blacksmiths, one on top of the other and all the houses were two floor houses. That's four lava, some gold, iron, saplings and other bits of armour, woop woop!

Villager trading, I suspect.

There is lava in the blacksmith structure.

A well-made overworld slime farm has a faster rate of spawn.

Than what? A poorly made farm?
