I was just playing MCX360 edition, when it suddenly said that I had reached the 'maximum number of minecarts in a world.' There are zero minecarts in the world. Has anyone else experienced this?
For some context, I am playing on my main survival world where I have a system of railroad tracks that have worked perfectly until they suddenly stopped working now. I thought it might be related to the recent update, but I have been able to place minecarts since then.
In short, I can't place any minecarts. I am growing frustrated at this edition's long list of game-breaking bugs.
I'm capped at ten in my worlds and forty in new ones, which makes no sense to me. I know that I have a whopping one cart in my world's and it allows only nine more, yet a fresh world lets forty roam free.
Seriously, item frames are far worse and far more frequent than mine carts, and if I want to grief a world with lag, I'll just make some rapid-pulsing light to nuts.
Do abandoned mineshafts contribute to this problem? Now that a minecart with chest is used in place of just a chest, that could be part of it. Albeit a small part.

I considered this a little while ago, I am fairly confident that I have discovered almost all of the minecart chests in the abandoned mineshafts. I will keep looking, thanks for the suggestion

Would it let you place the carts back down when you got them or still a problem? Like I said, likely not a big issue since theres a pretty limited number of carts in mineshafts.

I agree this is absolutely retarded. I have multiple stations all over my world that usually have a Chest with some carts in it close by. I also have a pez dispenser in my main station that can hold about 20 carts. I also have a bunch of mechanical farms and clocks and other contraptions that run off of mine carts so there's no way I am going to scour the entire map looking for carts to delete everywhere. I can't use any of my railways now until this gets changed back. There's no way minecarts cause lag, if anything it would be my hundreds of pistons and farms all over the map. But still no lag that I've seen. This is dumb and annoying that they would do this.I feel like the game developers haven't ever even played the game themselves. Or else they should know this kind of update is just stupid.
I have a world with multiple cities and towns with rail and stations and subway systems and suddenly they are all useless. No matter how many i destroy i keep getting the prompt.
I also have this issue. We have a single rail line and no carts placed and get the message max number of minecarts has been reached when we try to use the rail. Looks like by boat and horse are the only ways to get around at the moment for some of us. (besides walking)
they seriously need to make a destroy all minecarts function(similar to reset nether). i have a 4 yr old who loses his every time he gets off, most of them at the bottom of the ocean. my world is huge and based on minecart travel... sucks hard. i found that if i restart my game it lets each player place just one(but you cant pick it up or you need another reset), so that might help.

I'm allowed only 25% of the limit for no apparent reason.
