hi i have some questions about mobs and name tags

-can i have multiple tamed horses with name tags so they dont despawn, i have 1 horse atm but worried if i try to get another, the other horse might despawn.

-when naming mob eggs with the anvil, do the mobs stay spawned once you spawn them like they would when using name tags ? also this same question about upside down mobs too

1.) Just don't bother with horses. Nothing seems to guarantee despawn-proofing. But yeah, two is no different from one.

2.) No, egged mobs still respawn since they aren't "tagged." Only ones with name tagged...ness stay.

The 'horse despawning' has been discussed to death every since the update came out. There is a bug where they despawn: named, saddled, tamed, corraled, whatever- people are reporting despawning under any and all conditions. The only thing to do is wait for the bug fix.
Remember, people assume that they 'own' a horse once they tame it. No one told the horse that. Horses aren't like wolves. You can't 'own' one, nor can they be 'pets'. A 'tamed' horse can be ridden by anybody (as I understand it). Horses, mules, and donkeys are equal opportunity employees.

"Naming" is not a cure-all for despawning, regardless of what mob it is. The only way to know for sure is to try it, then move away a couple hundred blocks or so and return. Sorry, maybe someone with more time on their hands than I have can test 'naming' each mob and let you know.
