As everyone probably knows by now both types of pistons are broken as of the new update. I'm looking for any ideas or blueprints for a cobblestone generator that doesn't depend on pistons to increase production rates. I'm at a loss here since pistons no longer function correctly and the skyblock Cobb. generators seem to inefficient.

You could use dispensers (containing a bucket of lava and a bucket of water in another) to turn on/off the lava or water source for your cobblestone generator... no pistons required... just use a lever to turn off the lava and the water when you are ready to collect it, and turn them back on when you are ready to make more.
Hmmm I never thought of that yet I'm looking for something to produce a large quantity off cobbelstone I might be able to do something with a clock to speed up the process
