I have been playing Minecraft X-Box 360 edition for a little over a year now and I've found that the survival mode has gotten pretty boring. Any Ideas?
you can do a lot of stuffs iron farms, mobs system, enderman farm, trading system with villagers, automatic farm (wheat, pupkins, watermelon, potatoes, carrots)
ice farms, Xp farms with all the spawners, potions system, pixel art.
Beat the game without using trading or a crafting table.
Yes, it is doable.
....by "Beat the Game" I'm assuming you mean that includes killing the Ender Dragon? Which requires Eyes of Ender... which requires blaze powder... which requires blazes... which requires traveling to the nether... which requires building a nether portal...
I guess you can do that with out a diamond pick axe...if you have access to a bucket... but neither a (diamond or any kind of) pick axe nor a bucket are viable MOB drops.... but you could find a bucket as loot in a dungeon chest...if you are lucky... but still no pick axes, and finding dungeons, or the end fortress for that matter, without a pick axe at all would be tedious at best....punching your way through stone....
Use some of the new game options. My newest challenge idea: Play on hard, in adventure mode, with permanent night, and disable health regeneration.
To play this game challenge, you'll need to open the world on survival, on hard difficulty, with host privileges enabled. You have 10 minutes of daylight, to collect whatever resources you can. Once the sun sets, exit and save, and reload the map in adventure mode. Once you're back in the game, and night has completely fallen, follow these steps:
Press Back
Disable the daylight cycle
Disable automatic health regeneration
Exit the menu.
You can only mine blocks with the right tools, and can only regenerate health with healing potions and golden apples. You'll be playing in and endless night.
For an even harder challenge:
Open a world in survival, on hard, with host privileges. Don't mine or break anything.
Immediately exit and save, and reload in adventure mode.
As soon as the game loads, disable health regen, mob greifing and mob loot.
When the sun sets, disable the daylight cycle too.
something that we found somewhere on these forums and modified for our game play was what we called radioactive.
Your world starts with knowing that there is an incoming nuclear attack. You have until the first sunset to get underground to lvl 30. so gather seeds, saplings, animals if you can and head underground.. if you can raid a village, just get underground by the time the sun sets...
You cannot go above lvl 30 until you have protective gear, a full set of gold armor. Going to the surface the gold armor only lasts for one full day/night cycle then you need to get home, or have another set of protective gear...
Anything you find on surface must be decontaminated. this is where i was having a hard time finding a random way to decontaminate or destroy my surface treasures. using water flows and lava where the water spit into different channels carrying the loot to safety or be destroyed in lava just was not very random. So we ended up just using a 6 sided dice.
I wanted to add some rules for end game... some way to "heal" the land and allow free travel on the surface but I did not come up with an idea there yet..
skyblock is another fun twist... last time we played that we setup each others block with enough supplies to make it to the nether. we made the rule that we could not walk on any natural block other than covered by water... we could place blocks to make "board walks".. but we could not walk on land until we had an active regeneration potion effect on us.
