I have an extremely fun minecraft world that I have been playing for almost a year now and once I updated it to get horses I spent a little over 5 hours roaming the plains killing all the passive mobs. after that I gave up. some people say I cant get horses on pre explored worlds and some say I can. is it not possible? or do I just have horrible luck. please answer

It's possible for me, too. I had to wait around 2 to 3 in-game days for any to show up, but I found several.
