Hey, I was just trying to figure out if old worlds made before the horse/wither skeleton update will spawn these new mobs. Ive been testing for a while now and I havent seen horses, so it got me wondering if they wont spawn at all. Please let know what u come across!

Wither skeletons only spawn in nether fortresses. I noticed that it took a short time for horses to start showing up on my map, so the withers may need some time as well. Also you may want to try resetting the nether.
I hace one of the heads and i create the world in TU 16.I pit the option of recreate the nether.But i havent found a horse or a witch, didi you really found one horse? (Sorry if my english is bad, i am not very good with english, i am from Mexico

Yes it was in my hard survival world, and I have had multiple horses spawning. They only spawn in plains and savannah biomes, except we don't have savannah in the 360 version. I did notice that it took some time for even the first horse to appear, about ten minutes of working around my in game house. So I recommend you simply go about your usual on survival as they will show up sooner or later.

What I've discovered so far:
As soon as I got the update I went horse hunting. Searched 2 "quarter map" sized plains (which is pretty big). Not a horse. These were previously explored and mapped areas. There was one little area I guess i skipped over which was still undiscovered on the map. Wouldn't you know that was the only area I found horses. Perhaps people are right and that eventually they will be found else where, but I have had no luck yet.
Going into the nether I found absolutely no changes. Explored the entire fortress. Nothing. So I figured maybe it was because I had too many torches (wither skeletons need less than 7). So i destroyed every light in the fortress, left and returned. Nothing.
Gave up and reset the nether. HOLY COW. Upon spawning instead of the fortress being king of broken by gaps and spread apart with random walls of netherrack it was the same design but more "complete". There were new tunnels and it was more connected. I was greeted by a whole lot of blazes and wither skeletons. Since blazes were spawning naturally, I destroyed the spawners. I went skull hunting for half a hour with a looting III sword and got not a single skull. I left the nether and returned later, not a single blaze or wither skeleton to be found.
Im guessing it had something to do with me destroying the spawners, but it went from overwhelming blazes and wither skeletons to not a single one.
I just kill three withers, no wither skeletons, WITHERS!! Maybe in xbox is easy to find the heads.I found horses and donkeys in my old world, i put to a horse a armor and the saddle and i tie it to a fence, but after a while the horse just desapear, this is a bug that is in another forum.And i havent see a witch not even in a swamp.
To anyone looking for the answer to the question, "Will old maps spawn new mobs?" The answer is yes. However, for wither skeles to spawn, you'll need to reset your nether ;(.
You just have to go thru a process of hanging out by the plains/nether fortress and kill mobs that arent what ur looking for and a combination of exitsaving/loading back in so that all mobs unspawn and mobs in ur newly loaded chunks spawn. This will also help bcuz theres a mob limit in the xbox360 version.
I still can't find a horse, and I have been on for 3+ hours. I really like this world and Don't want to restart on a new world just to get a horse or two.

Are you looking in the plains biome? Are you more than 128 blocks from your farm/penned animals? Have you hit your passive breeding cap for the world?

Where in the fortress? I went up and down all over mine a few times and havent found any.
I cant reset nether lol. I built a blaze grinder and a lot of other tedious stuff there.
