As some of you may know, there is the possibility that we will be receiving trapped chests in the next update. Now my question is, what exactly is a trapped chest? I checked out the wiki on it, but the only differences that I figured out were that you can place a single trapped chest beside a normal chest without them combining into one, and also place them beside double normal chests. Is this all the chests are for? Or am I missing something here?

They're simply a chest that triggers a redstone signal when opened. Commonly used as the trigger for redstone traps.

In other words... you might want to think twice before placing a trapped chest on your floor if you are using TNT blocks for your flooring.
