So my world neglects to have a village in it and I managed to secure a zombie villager from a cave and turn him back to normal. As I attempt to make myself a villager farm, here are my questions:
1. Can a Zombie Spawner make zombie villagers in TU16?
2. Can I use my villager to lure zombie villagers in?
3. Is there a way to control the spawning of zombies without the use of a zombie spawner?
2. Not really. More likely that a zombie will go after the villager. Your best bet is to play on hard difficulty and hunt at night for a zombie villager. I find them alot in swamps and plains. An easy way to trap them is make a lil box that has a ladder on the back wall with a hole in the roof, then let the zombie villager chase u in, then u climb out and have a lever on the roof with a piston in front to close off the entrance.
1. Not that I've seen... I think Cobra_Crusher might be right about this, but have I farmed a bit of zombies near a zombie spawner and didn't see a single zombie villager come out from that... and I was specifically doing that hoping to get a zombie villager too. I ended up just finding them spawning naturally in my world.
2. Why would you want to do that? Technically, you make better bait, and have a better chance of defending yourself than the villager does.
3. yes.... -ish. You can make spawning platforms that have no 2x2 spaces for spiders to spawn in and has a ceiling height of 2 or 2.5 so that endermen don't have and spaces to spawn in and keep the light levels in this area to < 7 illumination. then you should only get skeletons, creepers, and zombies spawning. If they drop into a pen that has water flooding the floor, then if the creepers detonate, they shouldn't harm surrounding MOB's or blocks.
If you build your MOB spawner right, you might be able to attract zombies to one side and create a death trap for other MOBs that wouldn't be interested in villagers or doors...
Thanks for the advice guys! I ended up putting my villager outside in a glass box to lure zombies and got another zombie villager. My farm has grown quite nicely. Around 15 villagers and 2 iron golems. Gonna redesign the farm so baby villagers can drop out of the breeding area and so i can separate them and easily get rid of the ones who offer terrible trades.

3. No mobs spawn randomly.
