Hi, I'm new to Minecraft! Very new...I couldn't get Minecraft on my computer, so I got it for Xbox 360. I've been quite satisfied and had a lot of fun. But my question is can update it because I realized it's almost 2015 and I'm playing on an almost 3 year old game. I've learned quite a lot about mobs, and how gravity affects certain blocks, mining and mine carts. I would like to learn a lot more about Minecraft! I hope I don't receive hate...oh plus I don't have Xbox Live.
I'm sorry, there is no way to update the disc version outside of Xbox Live. As Dr. Atomic stated, there is a free version of Live account that would enable you to download the updates (it just won't let you play any games online).
I can answer any questions you have, I used to read the wiki a lot, and I've played survival for a while. The only things I'm not good with are automated farms, complex redstone, and ore and slime chunk stuff.
