I think it has its uses; but I just don't tend to think about using it all that much; so I never seem to have it on me when I do get into something where it would speed things up. I always have a pickaxe with me, so I generally just start digging instead. As a result, I voted "I don't care."

Unless the sand generators get fixed, TNT is unless on xbox 360 due to limited resources

I'm prefer my pick axe. I find it relaxing. I usually forget about it till someone asks me to turn it on.
