It's a thought but what the heck. What if Minecraft had about 1-5 mountains in each world that could blow at any moment and cause damage to the surrounding areas?
You could always make you're own version with Obisidian , TNT , lava and sand .
I tried something like that before but with nether rack to give it a cool burning effect. Besides I want to see stuff fly out and burn nearby things like trees and maybe the occasional village unfortunate to be nearby.
That would be difficult to do. It would require rapid block updates which would lag the game a lot, especially on a console.
Doesn't it constantly check blocks in the nether, like lighting and such? I thought that's why people usually lag on PC in the nether, because it's constantly checking and doing crap with lighting. But with next gen coming out, I really hope they do start updating more and more often. not 2 a year. .1 being a bug fix -.-
